This drive some people nuts but I'll tell you what I do and have avoided diarrhea the last three trips... Start taking probiotics before you leave a month in advance and bring a lot with you... when you get to Thailand buy some Cipro flaxen at any pharmacy and there is no prescription required... take one 500 mg and 7 or 8 hours later take more probiotics... You will rid yourself of all bacteria after taking ciproflaxen but then you will get yourself good bacteria back after taking a probiotics...
