That's a worry if all safes can be cracked like that.
Or is it only certain types?

Guys important is that you have your things inside. Call the police if someone steal your money or papers and show at home your insurance. Thats all what i will do and its no reason to lost the fun in your holiday.

The scariest thing about this post IMO is if some of the LBs are reading this and have picked up new tricks
.
I'm definitely going to open a bank account at Kasikorn Bank on my next trip now.

Good for you on doing this as I read DTs post about opening a Bank account in LOS and it seemed like great advice.
From what he said it looked pretty easy, but if you could confirm this with some info it would be very appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Iceberg

Yes it's easy I opened an account with Bank of Siam on Beach Rd.'
I just took my passport and they opened the account,I received atm card and passbook and I can access account on the net.
I deposited 5,000 baht and that was it.
As yet I haven't used the account but as my next trip gets closer I'll start depositing money.
Cheers
Rob.

I had a safe identical to this one in Medellin last week. I tried several of these methods and none opened the safe.
Given that this video was put up by a company selling security equipment, might it be possible that the demo safe was defective--intentionally so--in order to convince people to buy their stuff?
Not suggesting that these safes are ultra secure, but mine certainly wasn't as insecure as the video suggests.
