Where are the best places to pop in to get free wireless internet access in Pattaya? It would be useful to have a listing of places where we can use mobile wi-fi devices to check email and such.

Don't know if McDonalds does in LOS. I know they do NOT have free wireless in many locations outside the US. Same is true for Starfucks. Does anyone on the ground know if they do in Pattaya or elsewhere in LOS?

Starbucks in LOS does not have free wifi, sometimes you can pull in TrueWifi sometimes it's whatever provider the mall has. However, I found the Starbcuks at the Avenue on 2nd Rd was in the middle of about 3 free wifi zones. TrueWifi also works there.

I haven't tried McDonalds wifi but I imagine you need to make a purchase to get a code.

Free wifi in LOS is hard to find unless you're in the islands or off the beaten path in BKK.

Not quite free but for the cost of a coffee, a couple of the drinks / ice cream concessions in Central do WiFi

Stickman published a list on his site, but I don't know how up to date it is. Might be good for a start and maybe someone can update ? I'm pretty sure the Coffee World shops have free wi-fi - surely worth the price of a coffee to surf or check emails ?

Most places you go for breakfast or bars have wifi, just ask when you walk in, do you have wifi key and they will be willing to let you have it once you sit down with a drink or breakfast, then cruise past checking your emails whenever you like without getting ripped off by 3G fees abroad!

You're right sainter ... Beer Garden is a great place for wireless ... girls bringing beers while you surf the net or work as in my case ... great view ... nice breeze off the water ... just need a LB there with me to give shoulder massages ...

Again at Avenue mall coffee world has wifi. Ask the cute coffee girl and she'll hand over the password!

There is a place on pattaya tai called coffe and beer one of the cheapest places for beer in pattaya has free wifi,and late on there is a very sexy ladyboy who is there surfing the net,i think maybe the owners girlfriend but not sure of that.

This guy got em all... I used to work round like have breakfast at Canterbury Tales and check my emails and then lunch somewhere with wifi, and a lot of girl bars have it too nowadays or reaches to Queen Vic for instance...

There are numerous places with Free WiFi access all over Pattaya.

I do not carry my Laptop with me so only access nail and the internet via my Android phone. Just turn on WiFi and see what you get.

Alterntaively you can, IF you have a "1 2 Call" (AIS) Thai Sim card, pay 100 baht for 20 hours free internet access per month.
I signed up for this about 3 years ago. I am not sure if this is still available
Check with a phone store or look them up on the internet or dial 1175 when in Thailand

I do not have the same info about DTAC the other major mobile network.

Some venues have their WiFi password protected but are generous in giving the customer the password.
The Queen Victoria is a good one in Soi 6.
