Oh and if its scabbies, you won't see them. They come out at night while you are sleeping, which is why you put it on before bed, and change sheets etc in the morning.

Nice, well after the first dose it did seem better, just have to wait a few more days before the second dose, all in all some useful ideas and thoughts.
Clearly i am going back and forth to the doctors but a few ideas and suggestions never hurt, cheers guys

That "rash" you have....thats them burried into the skin. Yeah I know it sounds gross.

Its actually pretty common, as I said we encounter it a lot at work (mostly in our indigenous patients), and a few of us have caught it from patients. You could have picked it up from someone with a small infestation, that you may not have noticed. Did you happen to visit a LB or GG's own place? They may have been clear but sheets may not have. Thats why you need to change sheets after each treatment, as they leave your body, they can remain on the sheets.

As to the Diarrhea, it was likely the water. Thailands water sources is...Hmmm unknown, so its highly likely that somewhere along the line sewerage enters the system....it even happens in the US and Australia etc, so bacteria becomes present. Most clear reasonably quickly from the body...2 to 3 days. If yours has been going for weeks, I'd be betting something like Clostridium difficile, which is pretty nasty. Unlike some other bacteria, its "enteric" so will quite happily live in your bowel, so won't just pass through. Someone else suggested a dose of Cipro? This may or may not work as C dif, can be resistant to multiple antibiotics. We usually treat with Flagyl (metronidazole) which can be tablets, but some strains need Vancamycin which is IV. So if its not getting better soon make sure you get to the Dr, as it can be very nasty...lots of elderly and frail people actually die from it.

Oh in case you are wondering....I was a research microbiologist prior to becoming a nurse :-)

hmm , as far as I know it is Vancomycin.

Ciprobay should work first line if the rush is bacterial related. Scabies is a good hint, I hope for you DD that you are in good Hands with your Dr. as they often fail with their first diagnosis...
Without seeing the rush it is hard say something reliable, my guess is still that it could be virus related, as a normal diarrhoea (Food poising, Water etc) should cured within 5-7 Days.
Ganryu, no I am not a doctor and not a nurse nor a microbiologist. I just know this first hand by suffering of many impacts during several high dose chemotherapies regimes and multiple stermcell transplantations.

check bloodtest also for:

EBV (Epstein- Barr-Virus) -> Lymphoma related
CMV (Cytomegalovirus)
HIV
Ofuji Desease -> (sometimes HIV related during seroconversion)
IgG/IgM/IgE Check

...There is absolutely no point in people trying to diagnose your symptoms here. Go get yourself screened...

The soundest advice you will get on here. From experience, it doesn't look as if hepatitis is your problem. If your own medical practitioner is taking this amount of time to get to the cause, I would ask for a second opinion. Alternatively, you could try London's Hospital for Tropical Diseases. Oxford isn't that far away !

thanks slacker, as i have previously said i am in touch with my doctor, in fact it taken so long as i kept leaving it thinking it would go away ! lol but i also think if other have some ideas and even experience of similar then its all useful info.
I would never self medicate myself, but that said 'professional' doctors listen, look and within 30 seconds seem to know the answer !
I have made some notes from here and i will pass them on to the doctor weather he likes it or not and for sure the tropical hospital is within 1 hour from me, so i shall keep it in mind.

cheers again….to everyone

btw, I was jabbed for A and B so, not it shouldn't be that either

Probably barking up the wrong tree here, but have you considered if the spots are Molluscum Contagiosum? Do they have white heads before treatment?

It's just that Molloscum seems quite prevalent among p4p and in general population - have a good look at your LB's skin next time - and I managed to catch it about a year ago. Tried freezing off at clinic, then essential oils, and finally taping on vinegar-soaked pads for a duration - the last crazy solution actually worked.

Sorry if this is totally wrong, just hope you can find a solution and recover soon. It's no fun being in this situation, and more importantly can seriously cramp one's mongering style.

Good luck DiamondDog.
