The BIB are looking for this LB - name "Ben" who (allegedly) nipped off with 2,000 Euro from a punter. She is believed to be in Pattaya - previously Jomtien. She's not very tall and is quite pale.

she wouldnt be the first to strike lucky, he couldnt of read the warning threads on here and must be a newbie to have so much cash lying around, carelessness deserves been taught a lesson.

The full story as it was told to me.
Ben worked in the Tennis Bar Jomtien along with other LB Opal. (See pics on my post 'New Jomtien Bars'). Chatting to Opal one night last week I asked where Ben was. Opal said she was worried about her as her phone was switched of and could not reach her. In the Bar a couple of nights later I asked if Ben had been seen etc. Opal reluctantly told me about the money. When Ben had gone to visit customer in Condo - Opal went with her as Ben did not know where it was. Once there (if I understand correctly) Ben had lost (?) her I.D. and the security man had accepted Opals. Opal then left. The Police then came to see Opal after the theft was reported. Something may have got lost in tranlation . . . . I don't know. Saw Opal last night and no new developmernts.

Good example of how fallible the ID card system is for security. I wonder how many punters actually look for themselves at a girls ID, and if it was not correct would then actually pas the girl by.

Good point, but those ID pictures are usually of a different gender. Some things that are seen can not be unseen.

Its equally as poor of the bar for not taking a copy of the card. Most places are no ID CARD = NO JOB but not all are as good as that. Tracking someone who has an ID card (and its original, is very very easy for the police - The average Thai is so stupid, they go back to the very address which is on the ID card up country and thus get picked up - local gossip informs the police she is back and they just go and arrest her and send her back down). That is of course, if they believe the original story and that its not some kind of scam for Insurance (which happens way more often than people think).

There was a crack down by Pattaya police 3 months ago, Any Lady/Ladyboy working a bar, on salary or not, is required to have a copy of their ID lodged with the bar and another copy retained for the police. If the bar cannot show the copy of the ID card, and the completed form, then the bar is fined for each infringement.

A bar in Soi Bukhouw was recently fined heavily. A nearby bar closes, before his bar, so the staff come over to his bar for a late night drink etc. Police arrived and guess what the owner did not have copies of their IDs (they were with the bar where they normally work). Bar owner was fined for each one.

This sucks!! Another case of police corruption at it's finest!

I've never even tried to look at a girls ID card, although I probably should. For one thing, I usually don't take freelancers. That's part of the value proposition taking girls from reputable (???) bars offers. On the other hand, I guess I don't want to be bothered trying to figure out the text on the card, and I'm afraid I'll be put off my lunch seeing the thai boy on the ID card for the beautiful sexy girl I thought I was taking.

Kind of like sausages... you don't really want to know what went into them.

That explains why when i was in nong bar a few nights ago not as many ladyboys late on,i ended up with a gg there called wan half jap half thai and she was excellent but i was looking for a late night take away ladyboy from there.

The latest ID's are bilingual Thai-English and include the Western birth date.
