My Room at the April Suites,

Fantastic room, very clean and new Great water pressure from shower and instant hot n cold running water from sink Tap.
Could not fault this Hotel and at first thought maybe in wrong place but then conveniently found it to be in the right place, have to say for the promo price was fantastic value and hope they dont out price itself in the future as will stay again, Just a note tho, cracks in the maintenance team as the glass wall around pool didnt seem to be cleaned and hope that management dont fall down where some things can be over looked.
deff 9/10 from me, if the glass wall around pool was cleaned daily it would get a 10/10.

Fie,
If I recall correctly you also stayed at August Suites. If I got that right how do they compare in your opinion.

I'm loving all these great reviews, makes me even more excited for my next trip.

Solice, the comment actually seems like a positive as I'm GLAD they're worried about noise. Sorry they misidentified you though - you must look like the Noisy Type.

It was a postitive point DT because one of our group was woken by the noise and wasnt too happy.

The hotel staff are very good and very friendly, I just hope they dont hike the prices up next year because at the moment its good value for money.

The only thing I didnt like about its position is that its just off Second road which as you know is a one way system, due to having a motorbike I had to go down second road to the next soi and then round in a loop to get to the likes of soi Bukaow, not a hardship really but thats the only fault I could find.

Never had a problem with the Wifi but I was on floor four, my mate was on five and it was a bit slow at times, I even took my laptop up to his room to check it and it was much slower.

As for looking like the noisy type, the only thing I look like at 5 in the morning is a drunken bum :)

This place is on my short list... can't decide if I want this comfort or the street life of Canterburys

He's all muscle and looks like trouble :D, seriously though, I'll bet she was glad it wasn't him after reviewing the tapes, even if he really is a kind soul.

5555 Thanks up2you,

She was very good about it and very polite in the way she handled it, If it was me I would have held my hands up and said sorry but I remembered the night very clearly and I actually had told Paeng to keep quiet in the corridor because it was about 5 or 6 in the morning.

Canterbury is in a great location but it cant compare to the luxury of April suites, I suppose it all depends on your budget and what your preferences are, wherever you decide have a great trip mate.

I was on floor 5 but logged onto floor 7 (pool level) and wifi was much better strange as the router was on ceiling of corridor for each floor :Dizzy:

So you did Snick, my apologies

late Nov into Dec is now 1500 baht for standard. Damn high season, best whether but worst rates

Had to look it up online. Wikipedia is your friend!

555: the Thai variation of LOL. "5" in Thai is pronounced "ha", three of them being "hahaha"

nice rooms, hotel and price but for my taste bit too clinical,

i like clean rooms/hotel but they must have a warm interior, still its a personal issue

.....August Suites have "warmer" interiors than A.S.....and the big bonus point is the rooms are considerably larger....slightly more expensive.

Did you know that when you come out the April Suites, you dont have to walk down the soi to 2nd RD? If you just walk the other way down the small dead end soi it takes ya to the back ov the August Suites and there is a guy there 24/7 who opens the back door and u just walk straight through the August Suites.... Nice to know..... Regards Garry :Goldie:

taken the plunge, booked 3 nights initially and might add another depending on if I stay on in Patts after the 1st 3 days.

Don't know if I'll be getting any FD style shots of the LBs leaving the building.
