Hi,

They say Septembers end and that's the best time to come. Still rains a bit thru October but not so humid

pff... rainy season is not so rainy.
In fact, it rains less in Thailand during the rainy season than in Switzerland, where it is high summer at the same time!

In Thailand, during a month of "rainy season" you will have a handful of days of full raining, maybe 4 to 7 days, and maybe 7 to 12 days where there will be some rain, mostly in the early evening hours.

Depends on where you are, but I have just experienced what may be the hardest downpour of my life in Hua Hin. I have lived in other tropical countries, and places famous for rain (like Seattle), but this was amazing. The carport over my motorbike collapsed onto the bike. Fortunately no damage.

But I expect the sun to come back out before the afternoon is over, so no big deal.

Anyone who states that rainy season is not rainy obviously didn't visit in 2006 when 2nd Road resembled a river and tributaries branched off to Beach Road ! However, it's best not to generalise about Thailand's weather as it can be highly unpredictable. Last year saw some unseasonal rain and storms in December which is usually dry. Here's a link to a climate page. Rainy season is generally considered to be June - October and amount and duration will vary. Nothing in life is guaranteed and most of Pattaya's action is indoors, so rain shouldn't be much of a problem.

I just say the rainy season is not like it rains all day every day as most people imagine. Most days of rainy season one can spend at the pool or at the beach.

On some days, unusually heavy rain occurs, yes, and people wade through knee-deep water on Pattaya Tai, Jomtien beach road and soi 5 and other places.
Flooding occurs also quite often in BKK in this season.

Not really a problem as long as engines and exhausts of cars and motorcycles stay above the water level, but often the water will rise above.
