If the card is valid and they're picky try booking same flight through faregeek or cheapo air etc.

My first bit of advice would be to check your balance. I had this problem booking with etihad
and found out that the transactions had gone through.

That sometimes happens - it happened to me last year trying to book on Emirates. What happened was the credit card company flagged my transaction and would not approve it. I had to call the cc company and tell them the transaction was legitimate, and they removed the flag. I then still had problems booking on the Emirates site because I had attempted the transaction more than the alotted times and the website flagged it. I had to call their Customer Service people to have it put through.

The irony was when it came time to take the flight, I was not allowed to board because the UAE had changed the Visa regualtions and as I did not have a Visa, I was out of luck. I hope things work out better for you.

Barolo,

Try calling the bank or credit card company. They more than likely have blocked the ability to make internet purchases over a certain amount.
Once you call them and make them aware that you need to make a purchase on the Qatar website for a specific amount you should be alright. You may also want to do this before you go to LOS as they may block your cards from being used at the ATM. Call the bank and let them know when and where you are going to be using their card. This has also happened to me in the past as it is just a safeguard against individuals trying to make fraudulent purchases. -Swedeman

Barolo.

Most likely a security flag. Certain cards flag transactions if they're initiated in a foreign country ("foreign" in relation to where you live) and if this departs to where you usually do business. For instance, you live in Italy (I suppose from the language on your screen cap) and have transacted all your purchases there over the last 6 months. Suddenly, you attempt a transaction with a server located in the Gulf (I don't know if that's where it really is though); the bank's computer flags it as a probable fraudulent transaction. It's annoying but statistically, it's a good move security-wise.

It's not necessarily the amount. I remember been stuck in a French airport, where there is no such thing as a coin-operated telephone (as opposed to Frankfurt for instance), and my credit card (US) not working on them. Even though it was a one or two Euros transaction, the card had been instantly flagged as stolen because I had neglected to advise the cc company in advance that I'd be using the card abroad. Not all card do this, so you need to check ahead of time.

Ok, some news to inform everybody to avoid to fall in the same mistake.
I called the bank and i explained the situation : they said i have to go on the home page of the bank and login with a user code writted on the card and type the password they sended to me when i had the new card. After logged they ask to change the password and from now i'm enable to buy on internet : just purchased my e-ticked on Qatar site; after type the card number a windows open and ask again the password for safety.
Anyway thanks all for support !

Credit card companies have been cracking down on fraud, booking problem happened to me with AirAsia.
Only thing to do is call the number on the back of the credit card and follow the instructions they give you.

Its annoying, but I've been a victim of Credit Card fraud twice so I understand.

You should also call the credit card company and tell them you will be travelling or they might not approve charges that suddenly appear from Thailand.....and be careful where you use the card, some sleazy hotels in Pattaya ( Pattaya Central Hotel *cough* ) have been known to steal CC numbers.
