Overstay

I've made all my hotel bookings and yesterday I picked up my ticket. When I got home I realized that I miscalculated by 1 day.
Will this be a problem when I'm going home as my stay will be 31 days instead of 30?
Cheers
Rob.

as far as I know, when you want to leave the country with overstay they fine you 200 Baht for every day overstay. Maybe it's a bit more now as prices increase everywhere. Just make sure you arrive at immigration with an hour or two spare time to go through the buerocratic process.
Have a nice stay.

But I heard from several persons that they most probably won't say anything for just one day, a friend of mine has just been waved through.
BUT: go to the airport plenty of time in advance just in case there is a problem and the officer asks you to go to the immigration desk to pay the fine.
Don't worry, there will be no other consequences.
If you go to the immigration desk to pay the fine before going to the passport check-out, it will just be a matter of 10 minutes.

You could extend your 30 day tourist stamp, I believe, for a further seven days by going to the Pattaya Immigration Office in Soi 5, Jomtien (same soi as Sally's Bar). But this would be more costly than paying the overstay, and there is a good chance they won't ask for it anyway as others have said. You could also tell the immigration officer when you arrive at Bangkok about the one day, and I'm sure they'd say it was okay.

You will go through Immigration normally and then be taken to a very polite lady behind the booths where they will do an additional stamp and on you go. Took me about extra 10 minutes.
More than 1 day and you will be fined.

before going for 60 days (was free last year but not sure now) but it is hardly worth the effort if they are not too strict at
the airport.
