I've been toying with the idea of checking out the Phillipines on my next trip. I also don't want to skip Thailand either. Are there any BM's from Aus (Eastern seaboard) who do this trip (PI/LOS) as a combination? I've been looking at how to arrange the flights, but most of the combinations are too messy or expensive. It may be that these two destinations are better off served separately, but I still find the idea attractive. If I have to choose, I will probably pick Thailand first, but I coming from Aus there must be a cheaper way of doing it than the options I've seen so far.

also had this in mind last trip but found it very difficult - especially if you want to go to cebu and not manila

Was probably looking at Manilla and Angeles. I know some people in Cebu, could limit my options LB wise (Though I'd likely go for the GG's in Angeles).

you might be able to do something using KL or Singapore as a transit point - manila, bangkok and phuket all
well served from these places - also hong kong may be an option but might be more expensive if you come
from australia. jetstar and air asia do a lot of those flights so you might be in luck

Thanks Coolroom, I'll check them out. I'm in Brisvegus so if I've got it right I'd have to fly to Sydney early in the morning to get on a Manilla bound Phillipine Airways flight. Long day. I prefer to arrive with plenty of energy ready to go into action!

Hey Bucket14,

I have flown gold coast to KL with air asia, this would be close for you, then to bkk, stay bkk then fly cebu pacific to clark direct,in the phils, can fly to clark tuesdays and saturdays around 100 aud return, that will get you to angeles.Book way in advance for these savings with cebu pacific.

Or go emirates direct from sydney to bkk then onto clark.

That will get you to angeles area, then can go to boracay from clark,as for the south areas maybe best to do another trip landing in manila.I am based in sydney and have done these trips severel times, sometimes i would do a visa run back to the gold coast via kl.and see friends.

Thanks Terry, I'll look into some of these options over the next couple of weeks. I'm targetting Mid to Late April at this stage.

I like to break up my Pattaya trips....with 3/4 days in Angeles City....I just came back 2 days ago.

Book online with Cebu Air- ( BKK- Clark) route....nice and early... cost's about $100 return. Clark is the US Army base and is situated about 10 minutes from AC. Basically AC is one main street ( Fields Ave) filled with GoGo type bar's and ( Perimeter road)...cheaper drinks/girls.

For your first trip....I recommended staying at Pacific Breeze/Central Park Hotels...(.Location...location location..).. as it 2 minutes from Fields Ave...You can get smashed on Fields Ave and its a 5 minute walk to your room ....I have taken some pix of Pacific Breeze for my mate...I just have to upload the bastards

The LB scene is pathetic....a few freelancers here and there on the street....that don't look much

LBBandit, thanks for the info. I'm into GG's as well but have only just returned to the P4P scene. Last time I was in Angeles I was a young bloke of 22 and Marcos was still in power. (He got kicked out the following year). The only problem I thought about this is once I'm in Los, I'll be loathed to leave it until I have to return to Aus. I was hoping to do Angeles City before arriving in LOS where as you said the LB scene is better.

If you are talking about the street scene then i have to agree partly with you , but then you have to explain to Bucket14 why it is like that !!!

But if your talking abouth the ladyboy scene in AC in general then i have to disagree with you......
To find these lady`s you need to have connection and a network running there in AC , because they are all over the place more you think you can handle......

Cheapest way as follows: Direct flight with Strategic Airlines to LOS about $370 then down to singapore with tiger airways $55.. then out to PI with tiger again about $110 return ticket. Then singapore back to AUS with Tiger or jetstar or airasia (depending on who has the best internet price that day but about $220. so all up cost is about $ All up (if you watch for internet specials) about $ 750 to $800 depending on the specials you pick up online.

Still looking at this. I only have 16 nights (unless someone at work cancels their leave b4 or after my dates). Keen to experience Angeles before the wet/typhoon season. My only other option is for a separate one week trip in July (Typhoon season?), funds and leave availability permitting, as I plan to spend about three weeks in LOS in October. Thai are quoting $1265 (Aussie) for a multi trip from Brisvegus - Bkk; Bkk - Manilla; Manilla- BKK & BKK to Brisvegus. Bit of a hastle getting to the PI as the flight to Manilla departs 07:45 from Suvi, which would mean the night before in Bangkok would have to be an early one.
Was planning on maybe 5 nights in Angeles City to sample the GG's there (don't tell the Ladyboys!). Not sure about this plan, it might be better trying for July as a separate trip. Anyone been in Angeles in July?

@Buket14

I have been looking at your posting for a while now and i think you can make it all much more easy for your self then the way you want to execute right now......
Why fly ( Brisvegus - BKK - BKK - Manila , Manila - BKK - BKK Brisvegus ) ????

If i where you i will make it much more simple , fly ( Brisvegus - Manila - BKK - Brisvegus )
I will not buy a ticket in advance between Manila and BKK there are so many much cheaper options !!!

By the way do you mean Brisvegus or Brisvegas close by Brisbane , i can not find no well known location in australie under that name ????

And yes Juli is the beginning of the typhoon season , but even if there is still no Typhoon it will be raining like hell most of the day so i will not recommand you to go to late....

Sorry Stealth, Brisbane is/was jokingingly known among Australians as "Brisvegus" due to the large number of poker machines in pubs & clubs per head of population. I am from Brisbane.
Thanks for the info by the way. Also thanks to LB Bandit as well.
