I just tried to log in to Pattaya Addicts (yes, I like the girls too.... *sigh* - it's my guilty secret) and I got the warning below from Firefox. Should I be concerned? I don't get this warning from this site or any of the other LOS sites I visit....

Weird. I just tried logging in with Firefox and get the same warning. It indicates that their are Trojan Horse virus' embedded in the site. Strange that Wolf's Firefox browser wouldn't show the same warning though.

I don't know what it means, probably (hopefully!) nothing.

I don't really go to look at the girls... I'm there to read the articles. :)

I am not certain if this helps but I am using the latest version of Firefox on a mac. A new version of Firefox relesad about a week ago.

Maybe it is a bug with your browser. Are you getting the same warning with a different browser?

I'm using Firefox 9.0.1 for Mac and still getting the same error message AE is getting.

9.0.1 is supposedly the newest download of Firefox for Mac.

AE - are you sure about your version? 3.6.25 would be about 6 years old wouldn't it?

deepthroat,

I'm using a PowerPC iBook G4 running Mac OS 10.5.8 and I can't upgrade Firefox higher than 3.6.25

I know, I need to update but finances are tight.

Would your OSX be leopard ?

I just bought a macbook pro with leopard, and to get it running on osx lion, i first had to buy the disc 'snow leopard' from apple £26 .

Now its all sweet, and running like a dream, even though i done all this, i still prefer firefox 3.6, instead of the latest offerings

Yeah. I'm using the same version. Don't have a clue why this is happening to you. Maybe someone with a deeper knowledge can help.

That is a solid machine. I usually upgrade to a new laptop every 3-4 years because of power issues but Apple makes really strong machines. All my laptops still do work flawless.

Yeah it's a great little computer, but I do need to upgrade to an intel processor, bigger HD and more memory. I will in time, but have to plan a trip to the LOS too. ;)

It's something we are aware of.

The problem is not with the Pattaya-addicts.com site but with an image (a banner ad) that is hosted on another site but displayed on PA.

The image is included in a script that randomly rotates different images (different ads) to show on every new page view (keep hitting F5 and you will see the images change) a lot like the banners here change with every page view. That is why you only get the warning sometimes and not every time or why some people are seeing it and some arn't. It will show regardless of what browser you are using or what OS your computer is running.

LaaMok needs to spend some time finding which image it is and remove it, I haven't spoken to him for a while but he is aware of it and I imagine it's on his to do list.

The risk? Obviously I can't say there is no risk... All I can say is I have been using the forum as normal and have had no problems.

Hope that clears up some of the confusion.

I guess this is the answer why I have no problem. I've installed an application called AdBlock Plus to my browsers awhile ago...

I have no problem accessing www.pattaya-addicts.com/ but www.pattayaaddicts.com/ issues the site attack warning.
You might want to have a look at the "No Script" add-on as well as Adblock Plus.
