i think you are comparing apples and oranges here, regardless of who is buying, this is TH, not ANYWHERE else.
as this forum, and this topic especially, is specific to TH its MHO the example you site is inaccurate.
i see who is listed on these escort sites for TH/BKK and i have ST'd probably 70 to 80% of these girls in the years i have lived here. unless you are someone who has real issues with discretion, i just cannot see any plus or advantage to paying 6,000 THB for what is normally 1,000, 1,500 or 2,000 max.
further, i know that some girls in BKK, who are with agencies, have been banned from working in any of the mainstream venues and thus must make their way by other means now. either by freelancing on the street or listing with an agency.
i have not personally gone that route in BKK, but a friend of mine who has said that the two times he called and arranged a "date" different girls than he requested showed up.
its not like Europe or North America where many are highly educated, speak 3 or 4 languages, and are truly professional escorts. and even that does not guarantee much. when i was back in NYC for a year i went with 6 or 7 of the "elite" escorts listed on a premier escort site. only once did i get what was advertised. all the rest was just a sham, and an expensive one at that. IMO in TH its simply the same girls you meet anywhere in the country, but for usury prices.
