A British man at a Pattaya shooting range rented a Magnum revolver caliber .357 shot a practice round. Reloaded. Put the Magnum in his mouth and fired. He died instantly. Everything caught on security camera. The police is investigating the case.

Pattaya, January 15, 2012 [PDN]; Pol. Lt. Col. Ratta Pratumkaew, and Deputy Superintendent, Pol. Lt. Jetsada Pratumkaew were informed about a dead foreigner a the shooting range in Central Pattaya, Moo 9, Central Pattaya Beach Road, Banglamung, Chonburi province.

At the shooting range they found the dead body of Mr. Andrew Michael Davis age 43, British citizen lying on the floor. With a bullet wound through his head. Beside him a Magnum revolver caliber .357. Six shot fired. Four left. The police seized the cartridges and the Magnum revolver for evidence and they watched the CCTV footage. It showed Mr. Davis had renting the Magnum. Two sets. 10 bullets per set. The first cartridges he aimed at the target with Mr. Krissana Sae Ngow’s assistance. Mr. Krissana, the staff of the shooting range helped Mr. Davis to aim and to shoot. But the in the second set after Mr. Davis had fired five times. Mr. Krissana turned his back momentarily to Mr. Davis who suddenly put the Magnum in his mouth – and fired. He fell to the floor. Dead.

The police does not know the cause of this suicide. His hotel room key was found on his dead body and outside the police found a Yamaha motorbike, red-white color , license number NGOR CHOR PHOR-216 Chonburi which they assumed was rented from bike a shop.

If they didn't all the dickheads would be out again, saying that this is another covered-up murder by the BIB or something.

Although the guy went by his own choice, this is always difficult for the family.
I hope he left some kind of explanation and farewell note for them.

Personally, I'm a bit surprised it was not more of a mess, I'd expect more of a .357

Thats going to hurt in the morning, he must have had some very emotional shit going on in his life to make him do that.

Just glad he didnt shoot the Thai guy first as some of these crazies do.

Very upsetting for his family though to know it can be seen on the internet, people that commit suicide are selfish because those that are left have to deal with it but I guess they arn't thinking rationally.

Awful sad to see someone end their own life. Once someone comes to desicion to end there own life and that its not just going to be an attempt as a cry for help, there is very little someone can do about it and they will eventually take their own life.

It might be abit bad thinking this but I just hope this guy didn't decide to end his life because of a failed relationship with a bargirl.

I cant help but wonder the same about a bargirl but I have to disagree with little one can do about ending their own life when they have made the decision. The feelings one goes through is based on hope and the complete loss of it results in suicidal thinking, nobody really wants to die, they usually do not see a way out of the pain. Sometimes a simple conversation with someone is enough to get them through that moment so they can get the help they need. I know of situations where people have hung themselves in the wish to die and as they hung there struggling for life they realized they really didnt want to die. That is from survivors, the others dont live to tell. Another jumped from the Golden Gate Bridge, stood on the edge and wished someone would just tell him to get down and offer him help, nobody did. He jumped, and on his way down, he said to himself "I dont want to die". He lived to tell his tale. Many can be helped. At least this person did not suffer from it.

Trans, it depends on where the bullet was placed it he put the gone straight back in his mouth then there is less matter to expand the bullet resulting in less damage, the distance also comes into play as well. The .357 has been glamorized by Hollywood being a bit more than it is, not to take away from it, it is a large caliber. But I get what your sayin.

I am glad nobody else was hurt upstairs or on the other side of the wall.

One of my uncles took his own life and no one had a clue why he did it. It's really a sad event.

I woke up once for a piss while in goal and the guy in bottom bunk had cut his wrist's passed out, blood every fucking where, was told if i hadnt of woken for the toilet he prob would of succeeded as lost that much blood.
never forget that night or that bastard as i had to clean it up !!!! only good thing to come out of it was i had all his baccy, tea bags and crisps :)

Was just wondering...
I won a prize in pistol shooting and another in rifle when I was 13 and never got back to shooting since then.
Well, except a bit of training with the FA MAS during my short military time.

What scares me in guns is the other people that have them...

I predicted (http://www.ladyboysp...es/page__st__20 post #31) that the .357 was going to be a problem for that shooting range ... I just thought the problem shot would be in the opposite direction

I've been to that shooting range, shocking to see something like this but I suppose Pattaya does have it's fair share of ups and downs.
Feel sorry for the guy's family.
