I intend to return to Pattaya in November and still have not decided about which hotel to choose.
I'm seeking a hotel with swimming pool and good breakfast (buffet would be a must)and free wifi and centrally located aswell. LB friendly too, of course.
My previous reference is Areca Lodge, where i had a pleasant stay a couple of years ago.
Fares gone up now (a bit more than 1400 THB and not sure if any comission will be asked when I purchase), so i'm looking around now. But, if I cant find as good as I get there (or close) for a lower price .... Areca Lodge will be.
Any suggestions?

Areca also have a discount card scheme, ACE Club, it only costs 790 Baht per year.

This gets you around 150-220 Baht off the room rate and 15% off food and non-alcoholic drinks, but not the mini-bar.

You CAN join on arrival and get the discounts straight away, so for any stay over 5 days it is worth joining, just book direct with the hotel.

All the rooms in the Areca and Corona wings have been refurbished in the last 12 months, now have laminate flooring and new aircon.

The bathrooms were not included in the upgrades, but I find them pretty much OK.

November 2011 through to April 2012 was very busy, so book early.

Thanks Fatco for the info. I've never hear about that card, even in their website.
Can you get thet discount even if you book through Agoda, for example?
