Yoshi,
How did you find the Galaxy Suites? Is it true the Eastiny hotels are LB unfriendly?

Yes I rocked up at the Eastiny plaza one night with my lb catch for the night.
There was no way they would let her in so I checked out and spent that night in the Sunbeam. No more staying at any of the Eastinys for me!

I keep a permanent room 7,000 baht a month. it is close to carrefour, 3 minutes walk to pattaya central road. storage for my motorbike when I am not there and a security guard and electronic entry/cameras. It is 36 sq metres, furnished and a change of linen twice a month. It has air con, cable and a small balconey, a small kitchenette and great storage and it suits me fine. I used to rent a furnished two bedroom house but the owner sold it and I had to move quickly.

Just booked at Mooks apartments for christmas, I'm there for 31 nights and they said they will give me the extra night for free. Works out at 14,000 baht plus water and electric. Wanghin stayed there last christmas and said the rooms are spot on, had a look on the internet and they look great.
It has no pool etc but I prefer to go to the beach anyway so that doesnt bother me.
For that time of year I think its a bargain.

Regards, Solice

I have always tried to stay in the range of 1,000 to 1,200. I recently (since my last trip) discovered that I can use my frequent flyer miles to pay for hotel rooms. With some it is a good deal, not so good with others. But I am looking forward to using this option on my next trip, since I am currently miles rich, but cash poor.

Without this option, GF and I had already decided that we would stay somewhere in the lower range of 500-600 on my next trip. Now I am looking forward to splurging on a luxury room for a few nights to give her something special.

Hi chaps,

Just an update on accom as am settled in a nice room now after having look around a few mths ago found nice place with not so many rooms on 3rd rd.

Has aircon & fan/ fridge/ cable tv/ free wifi/ nice big balcony/ big comfy bed & bonus of nice pool!! :Smile 2:

Monthly rates start around 8500bt(deluxe room) plus elec/water & cleaning and discount for longer stays as they have 3 different types of rooms, studio/ deluxe studio(am staying in) & 1 bed apartment.

Like said before its nice setup here, quiet & in decent area not to far away from soi buakow/ pattaya tai & pattaya klang & would suit long termers or guys stayin minimum of 1 month.

Not too many rooms available as long term expats here with their tilacs.

Cheers 4 now,

What the great thing about this forum is you can reply whenever you want,I voted up to 700 but next time plan on spending a bit more, and maybe getting a place w/ a pool as this would have been nice:Smile 2:

My 1st trip in November I stayed at the Ibis Pattaya on 2nd road. It's between Big C Shopping Center and The Tiffany Show. I like that it's not too close to the crazy end of town as I don't go to Pattaya just for sex. It's not far from Soi 6 though and I like that street. It's important, but I like to do other things as well. The rooms are very clean and very basic. TV, safe, nice bed, shower, etc. No bum gun though. Pool and I really like the breakfast. The staff is very friendly and no hassle bringing a LB to your room. The average is 1100 Baht a night. I'm staying there again in April.

I usually stay at Greenery House on Soi Buakaow.
It's located next to marine Place, near the tuseday/friday marketplace.
Nice and clean place. Cleaning room and chanding sheets every day. TV, aircon, fan, fridge and a small balcony. Free wireless internet.
You are free to use the swimmingpool at Marine Place.
The reception girls can arrange massage girls that will come to your room.
GG and LB friendly.
Last time I stayed just two weeks for 600 B/night low season. Monthly rates are better. December 2008 I payed 15.000 B for a month. (500/night)

In Bangkok I stay at Star Inn Hotel in Sukhumvit 7/1, Thats the same hotel "Eden Club" use as st-rooms. Big room cost 1200B. Close to Nana Plaza, Soi Cowboy, Beergarden and Eden Club. Very guest friendly. The only hotel receptio girls hav said to me: "Her is your key, sir. And here is a condom!"

I like the place and facilities, but cant find any contact info??
And yes I google the net..!
