Hey folks.

Thought i'd do a little how to on embedding a video into the forum...

Step 1.

First you need the embed code from the site you want to embed from (Youtube in this example)



Copy this code onto your clipboard (CTRL+C)

Step 2.

Now you need to paste (CTRL+V) the code into the topic or post that you want to place the video in



Step 3.

Once that is done, all that is left to do it turn HTML on



Please make sure you use Auto Linebreak Mode

Step 4.

Enjoy

Hi, please, will you tell me how to embed a video (wma or mpg) that is on my Hard Drive ? I have som good Japanese LB .Shorts but good. Thanks

Just put them on youporn or similar,then just do as above.

it's a website similar to youtube but one that allows porn/sex videos to be uploaded (as youtube will remove these)

try using google or maybe even take a stab in the dark and try out www.youporn.com ..... all the info you need is out there on the web

Maybe there is something wrong with my eyes, but I can't find that option. I'm using Firefox 3.0.15 on a Linux system.

The forum software has been upgraded since I wrote this tutorial.

All you have to do now is click the "insert media" button and paste the link (not the embed code) to the video into the media URL box then click insert.



No need to turn html on now either.

the process has changed again since the tutorial was last updated

these days you should just be able to copy and paste the link straight from YouTube and the forum will embed the video for you.

I'm not sure whether the software is capable on that one, I've not used ustart before.

If its youtube, easy way is click the T for Twitter on menu select Media and post the youtube page in the URL box, just worked a treat on another post.

Just a quick note 'Kendo'... As you say, you can copy & paste a link directly from Youtube, but just to make sure that the desired video will definitely show up on your post, when you go to the fourth box along directly under the video entitled 'Share' & click it, you'll see the code on a rectangular box with an options tab underneath that, click that & two smaller boxes will open underneath it, one entitled 'started at' & the other one entitled 'long link', click 'long link' & you'll definitely get it, no probs!

Spurt Reynolds 55555, that nearly had me peeing in me cornflakes this morning!

I've been havin' a few log in problems mate, anyway, glad to be back... Again.
