Swimsuit competition with a difference at Central Festival Pattaya Beach

The Central Festival Pattaya Beach was the location for a swimsuit competition on Tuesday Night. To the untrained eye, lots of beautiful women were competing at the event. However all the competitors were in fact born as men. The “Unlimited Sexy Star” event was organized by the Tiffany Show Theatre and is part of this year’s Miss Tiffany Universe Contest, the final of which is taking place later this year. 30 transsexuals wearing some stunning costumes took part in the event which was won by number 13, Khun Wiritorn aged 20. He won 10,000 Baht in cash and other prizes. The winner of the “Miss Popular Vote” as voted by patrons at the Central Festival Pattaya Beach was number 20, Khun Pakawaran aged 21 who won 5,000 Baht.

I went and saw this. I am just outside of the photo of the crowd on the Pattaya One website (the link provided no longer works-- you have to go their website and google search "transvestite beauty contest central festival").

You can see from the crowd photo that many of the crowd are ladyboys. A good chance to meet many who are so passable you wouldn't know they were ladyboys.

I knew this event was going to be held, or at least something similar, because every year about May time there are several sponsorship activities for 2 weeks. To find out what they were I asked and got a schedule from the Tiffany Theatre box office. It is only written in Thai since it is intended for the scheduling staff only. I saw from the schedule the best chances to see them . They were supposed to walk around the shopping mall, trying out various food counters etc., but that day that was cancelled, so the swimsuit contest was the only event left. So I went along to that. Obviously interesting, but no chance for them to meet me...

So this long-winded message is to who what needs to be done if you want some good opportunies to see them.

The world-weary among you will notice that the girl who won Miss Photogenic (or soemthing like that) works in Cascade. And another girl in the contest works in Obsession.

My first ever experience of a Thai ladyboy by complete luck was with a Miss Tiffany winner. She was working at King's Corner. I didn't recognise her as she had lost a lot of weight since winning the contest and simply looked stunning. I took her out and she even gave me a demonstration catwalk move. She said she had to stay out of sight for 6 months because so many people were asking to go with her... I was 21 years old at the time, making me younger than most of the girls at King's Corner.

The 2011 Bikini contest will be coming up soon.

At CentralWorld Bangkok on Monday I saw the girls for the upcoming Miss Tiffany contest get whittled down from 40 to 30. All 6 of the last 6 years winners were in attendance, and I spotted lurking around the place lots of runners-ups. I got three very promising dates out of it.

The next FREE event where you can get up close and personal (chat to them etc.) will be the Bikini Festival at Central Pattaya. Does anyone know the date and times?

If you are in Pattaya can you please:
1. waltk to Tiffany cabaret
2. ask at reception for schedule of events for Miss Tiffany contest prior to the final
3. tell us

I think we at the board should sponsor such a contest...at some "off the beaten path" hotel or bar w/pool...and of course, playtime with the girls following the contest!
