Learned from the LB grapevine that on Walking Streat, there was one fire on the 17th and a second fire yesterday night. No casualties.

- the insurance companies were assumed to love these news.

Last year's low season was slower due to the curfew and military coup.

There's just less Russians around due to the collapse in the Ruble.

A bloke I know just came back from Patts, his first time mind you but he said "it was dead" He did also say he was with a mate who had been before so I would imagine this mate noticed "how dead" it actually was.

I don't get it.

These Gals are Happy, once they've taken you for all your dough.

So, F*ck the exchange rate.

Now, I know how this sounds, but work it out.

bearing in mind your friend went at the back end of low season it probably was dead. I have high expectations for this coming high season.

Very few Russians in town. A great loss to the enjoyment of walking Beach Road but an improvement if you are a Baht bus user or ever have to queue.

There are the usual large Chinese tour groups but it seems to me also a large increase in the number of Indians.

The group whose numbers are well down seems to be the one that traditionally contributes most to the P4P scene - western Europeans, Americans and Aussies.

A lot less Russians on the Baht Bus journeying to and from Jomtien - their fat white legs spread akimbo.

Well... I would prefer any Russian instead of the Indians and Djihadists, who are now filling up the hotel capacities.

It was the best it has ever been last weekend.

Loads of space on the prom to walk and run

Loads of space on the beach

Loads of cheap drinks in the bars

Loads of desperate hookers and massage sluts

One group of 'masseurs' were standing outside their gaff, as they do, when a large group of Japanese tourists walked past.

Desperate to attract their attention but not knowing the Japanese for 'Hello, or handsome man' they just started shouting, 'Oishi! Oishi!'

Pretty damned amusing!

There was a 'tumbleweed sensation' though, if you know what I mean?

Last year nov-jan I stayed in patt, there many russians but already then not as many as the year before.
If you ask me I would rather se Russians trippled instead of more indians n atabs... not all of them r rutten Apples however many are very rude to the working girls/LB especially on the beachroad!

Any way when its slow the rooms r cheaper n the girls nice while the some of the LBs are more desperate n can be bery rough n aggressive especially freelancers... but if you know your way around then its not bad at all...

... this month, Pattaya has been filling up visibly: bars, shops, restaurants.

Would be interested to get more input regarding Phuket, a friend staying there reported: Bangla is looking like cemetery- is it really so bad?

I was in Walking St last week and you could not move for Chinese group tourists whom seem to walk the whole street but concentrate on the pier end in their hundreds. In the hotel I stayed in a mix of Indians Russians and Brits. The Brits being in the minority. All being well I am returning in December/ January so maybe a few more people about?
