I've had a large mole on my back for quite some time and even though I couldn't feel it, or even see it, the fact it was there bugged me as others could notice it through my shirt if they put their hand on my back. Plus there were a few other little moles and skin tags around the place which kept me thinking I ought to go and get something done about them all.

I had some little moles and skin tags removed about a decade or so ago at my local GP clinic in the UK for free. The doctor burnt them off with some sort of soldering iron with a metal hoop on the end of it, which also seared them. Painless, apart from the local anesthetic jab beforehand, I did feel a little prick. I asked my Mum to register me locally so I could make an appointment for when I visited the UK, but she told me they don't do those clinic days any more as they're not important enough.

Anyway, back to Pattaya and I've been researching this intensely for a week or so now and was contemplating one of the dermatology departments at one of the numerous local Pattaya Hospitals with the intention of going down and making an appointment, as not all dermatologists are in-house and you would need to visit on the days they're in attendance.

That was until I discovered Dr. Somnuek's Skin Laser Clinic on Pattaya Klang, next to the TOT building on the junction with 3rd Road. Just a short walk for me - See HERE

I went down there today and was on the operating table within 3 minutes of arrival. No waiting, no appointment.

Dr. Somnuek only uses laser. My big mole was quoted at B2,000, the subsequent 6 other tags and moles brought the total to B4,500. I was in/out within 20 minutes, all done.

When I grow some more Dr. Somnuek will be my first port of call.

That seems remarkably fast from beginning to end ! A while back I had a mole removed from my arm - it seemed to be getting bigger and was just at the level where a t-shirt sleeve would rub on it. However there was a lot of after work that involved checking the removed mole at a lab for signs of cancer, etc. I would hope that you (and anyone else considering Dr Somnuek) get the same follow-up for complete peace of mind.

That's the advantage of surgery over laser.

Agreed. These things are best sent to a laboratory for analysis instead of taking the cosmetic option. I've had skin cancer 6 times and would always opt for a biopsy to confirm all is clear

Timely thread...I remembered my teerak had mentioned a pimple on my back a few weeks back so my bud has just taken a pic so I could see it.

It ain't no pimple so it's off to the quacks in the morning.

Cheers Monkey man!  B)

Possibly a cyst?

I was actually wondering, what happens to the skin after laser treatment?, swelling, blistering, etc.  Obviously better than minor surgery, where its removed under the knife.

@Petesie you could always check Dr Pimplepopper on youtube.

Nope, Doc didn't even look at it, just eyeballed my pic and referred me so I'll have a visit later on in the week where they will check my entire body.  <_<
