Yes I have - highly recommended and great value for money at his prices

Small bistro-style place, Scottish chef called Neil (I think), from about as far north as Cherjam.

He said his target is to never have any item above 500 Bt on the menu, but still offer the quality of higher priced places.

Not a huge menu, but I guess that helps keep costs down. What I had was VERY tasty. Definitely give it a go.

Is it the large open air place on the corner? The one I'm thinking of is at the end of the soi Canterbury Tales and a million massage joints are situated.

No  - "Soi Canterbury Tales" is Soi Chaiyapum (sp?)

For Bite Me, walk the full length of Soi Lengke (Steak and Co, Lone Star Tex Mex, China Garden, etc) from Soi Bukhaow end to 3rd road end, turn right onto 3rd road....it is about 25 metres on your right.

There is even a map on their facebook page!

Went to investigate today. Very nice and cozy little restaurant. Ordered today's special. Instead of advertised pate it turned out to be a chicken roll or something. Tasted excellent. Much better than junk food they serve in Retox. Cost me 255 baht. Real shame I discovered this place only now.

The food is very good . Different specials each day which you can find on their Facebook page or on PA.

I hear the lamb shank and veg is excellent.

Ate in this restaurant three times in August . It's not hard to find .

I was a regular there during my trip this past summer.  Everything I had there was very good.  I especially liked the seared tuna.

Sorry to piss on anyone's chips but we had a meal there after it was recommended.

It was shite...I think the Scottish chef knew this as he did the rounds with the customers but ignored us.

Back to the Beefeater in Soi Diana for the best steak in town.

I know of a Scottish co-owner, but at my last visit, when still living in Pattaya, it was a French chef.

555 no wonder - being able to cook a good haggis doesn't necessarily make you a gourmet chef ;-)

I had the 5 Spice Duck Breast; sour taste and tough. New had the New York Striploin which even her perfect gnashers could not chew.

Sorry if anyone finds my comments a bit off but I'm old and wise enough to know when I'm being served bad food.

I'm not a picky eater by any means and actually found it it quite offensive that it was considered acceptable to give me sub standard fare.

Like everyone on here part of my holiday is enjoying Pattaya's eateries be it simple or fine...there's good reasoning why we return.

My teerak said it for me..."we not go again".

Superb bistro cooking at an affordable price with daily specials and a good set menu.

Has changed ownership during the year though so will see how it goes.

It was my regular top notch restaurant whilst there and couldn't fault it.
Maybe Petesie got them on an off day??

Also tried Steak & co on Lengkee n that was good too.

I wouldn't mind another try as everyone has an off day; it was the quality and standard of the food which threw me.

Steak and Co are also not too bad but can take ages to produce your meal...the Beefeater is not only superb fare but is there as you are enjoying your second sip of red.

How would you compare the food in both?

I have been to Steak and Co a few times, always top notch food......never tried Beefeater (yet)

I'm a creature of habit and convenience...Beefeater is my fare of choice if I'm in the mood for a steak.

Quick, delicious and no fucking about...you get it as advertised with no surprises.

Beefeater far superior to steak and co in my humble opinion and more reasonable price to booth

Bite Me restaurant had the pleasure of my custom tonight. Had the 'special' which tinight was a large buttered salmon fillet with chips and dressed salad. Superb. 320 baht. Laid back atmosphere and a couple of gorgeous serving wenches.
I see they also stock a large selection of craft beers (I counted 14 on the menu board) and you can purchase a bottle of very quaffable house Merlot for only 550 baht. I'll be back for sure!
