I am looking for a good hotel in Pattaya and Patong with the following specifications. Any ideas?

1. Modern hotel, either 4* or 5*.

2. No joiner fee and no problem with bringing in ladyboys.

3. Having a large pool 50m long, since I like to swim.

4. Close to action.

5. Soft bed.

Some examples and their drawbacks:

In Patong:

BYD Lofts: Very small pool, more a wash basin. Far away from the action.

Patong Resort: Pool is OK (even two pools), but hotel is old and starts to look run down.

Yorksher Inn: Small rooms, which look like the interior of  a U-boot.

Nap: 1500 baht joiner fee.

La Flora: 2000 baht joiner fee.

The Lantern: 1000 baht joiner fee and rooms look like the interior of a U-boot.

Baipho: No pool. You cannot swim in the jacuzzi on the roof.

Patong Towers: Extremely small pool. It's a joke.

Patong Beach Hotel: Ladyboys not allowed, even when they do an evening show there on Thursdays.

KEE Resort: No ladyboys allowed.

In Pattaya:

Areca Lodge: Pool is OK, but the beds are hard and it starts to look run down, even the Evergreen wing.

Avani: 1000 baht joiner fee.

LK Metro: The whole hotel looks awful and kitsch.

Seven Zea Chick hotel: far away from the action.

Siam@Siam: Away from the action.

In Pattaya the View Talays have good pools and will satisfy most of your criteria. Not sure about bed softness as this will probably vary greatly from renter to renter. I had a magnificent mattress when I stayed in VT5...I wanted to fold it up and bring it home in my suitcase. ;)

A bit further out on Pratumnak, Argyle Apartments have a very large pool - they boast that it is the largest private one in Pattaya. A motosai or Baht Bus will still whisk you over the hill in 10 minutes or less.

Both options will give you pretty free rein with guests, even multiples.

I am also looking for either a 4 or 5 star hotel that's close to the action and don't have joiner fees and less hassle to bring anyone in.
Any recommendations?
Thank you

Try some of the AirBnB offerings in Central Pattaya ... last two trips I stayed at The Base Condos with no hassle, no additional fees.  You get kitchen, bedroom and living room with flatscreen and wifi.  Small rooms but clean adequate and air conditioned.  It includes access to two pols and fitness center. Low season prices about 27 to 31 USD and High season price was as much as 35-45 USD per night.

Small rooms? You mean small closets. Just perfect for inmates.

I need a decent to good hotel. Not guesthouses or apartments.
Bigger rooms and decent size bathrooms.

Have stayed in the Baracuda and is nice on second road i believe.

Good pool and big beds in rooms.

Wave hotel is right on beach road but seems very close to road.

Never stayed but gets great reviews.

Hilton is perfect for central festival mall etc.

Have stayed at Holiday Inn and Amari beside it at far end of beach road on the bend.

Holiday Inn the best of these. Infinity pool overlooking bay.

Personally i would save your money and get a suite in August Suites.

5 mins walk to soi 7 or 8 central festival, 6, 7 mins on baht bus to walking street. Near enough but far enough away if you get what I mean. Nice place at front of hotel selling nice coffees cakes etc bit like la baguette.
