Visa extension when in Bangkok

Unfortunately, the only place, unless you're working in a few particular jobs, is at the immigration building at the large government complex in Chaengwattana. I went about a month ago. I got an MRT to Chatuchak, I think, and then a taxi. Once there, I had to wait quite a while to be seen. Then they chucked everyone out for lunch. Then I had to wait some time to get my passport back. You have to pay 1900 baht for the extension and take ID and proof of onward travel. All in all it was expensive and time-consuming. 100 times easier in Pattaya / Jomtien.
