When going downstairs to the passport control, don't go Right (foreigner), but left (Thai). Three of the lanes there, at least yesterday, were also open for foreigners. Half the queue!

There's usually someone at the bottom of the stairs directing you as to the side you should go to.

Probably a one off. As tingtong says it depends on where you are directed to go.

Ahaaa, that was maybe the lady tapping me on the shoulder telling me I was in the wrong line. I just replied "no, it works fine here". And it did:-)

Probably a one off. As tingtong says it depends on where you are directed to go.

Yes there were staff giving directions at the bottom.
I noticed two older russian ladies who broke the queue and went under the barriers. The staff took them and got them to queue up.
As soon as the staff went back they went and broke the queue under the barriers again. I hate people like that.
That said no other passengers broke the queue while I was there and there were plenty of other russian passengers who were polite and orderly.

Many people in my line hadn't filled out the departure card (as usual). To my surprise they were send all the way back to fill 'm out. A lot of cursing but the line moved very quick  B)
