Wow that deluxe room sure has a big jacuzzi!

Just for the record, I believe the "slum" that is shown is actually temporary housing for construction workers who are employed on a nearby condo.
It is unsightly, but they are harmless and actually quite friendly. On a Friday eve one gent offered me a hit off his bottle of Mekong while he was slumped in a hammock. Last year they were offering 995B a night with every 7th night free, so that comes to 850B and includes breakfast for 2 daily. The pool is quite nice, but the hallway noise is an issue.

I forgot to mention: year before last, my deluxe room had a DVD player. Last year, my standard room had no DVD player. They said if I wanted one, I would have to pay - I think it was B50 per day.
