Sorry to revive a thread that is over a year old, but I have my reservation at the Fraser in early December.
I booked it on Expedia.com and when you book it with airfare, its almost free.
That is to say, airfare alone costs about the same as booking flight and Fraser together (10 nights).
It looks like a nice place and it definitely is in a great location.
I'll be sure to post a trip report while I'm there or when I return.

Fraser is fantastic.
Great location, good price, nice room, free wifi, no joiner fee and ladyboys welcome.
What more do you need?
The only down side is that there is no street in front. The taxi dropped me off about 100 yards from the front door. I hafd to carry my luggage all that way. I think thats a pretty small con against all of the pros for this hotel.
I give it two thumbs way up.

Are you staying at Fraser Resorts?
Be sure to post a review. I'd love to hear all about it.

hi stud, yes i stayed in fraser as promised . it was a four star room , with absolutely no problems.the view was nonexistant, but i didnt really need a view!
the price was approx 1180 baht per night , i had booked for five nights and everything was ok
location was very good , except, it being on a "new" street , when the market stalls shut the street became very quiet.
the price was obviously fantastic and i would stay there again, except i think the normal price/plus the fact that the street was dead , would make me pick a different location.

I just checked their website:
2200 per night next week
Plus 5% service charge plus 7% gst
No breakfast
Plus 900 Baht joiner fee
Plus extra charges for wifi
This is totally different to the reports above!
Have I got the right place?

Well, thats the right place, but I paid a heck of a lot less.
I bought my stay from Expedia.com. It was a package deal. From Dallas Texas (US) to BKK and a 10 night stay at the Fraser, I only paid $1600.
I purchased the package 5 months in advance. Today, I can still find a deal with airfare under $2000. I think thats a great deal.
I guess you just gotta be in the right place at the right time.

just be sure to email the resort first asking about joiner policy and ladyboy friendlyness.
if they ask for the 900 baht joiner fee, just show them the email.
