Warning-Massive Purge Of Escort Review Forums Incoming!!!

Recommended Posts

I just noticed that there is ongoing purge of escort review forums in progress on the net.

It seems US has passed a law that bans anything that involves advertising escorts services called FOSTA

Craigslist personal  ads in USA have been killed off.

HA forum deleted its massive escort reviews section.

Other sites that are US Based or US connected are being erased from the net.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/the-new-law-that-killed-craigslists-personals-could-end-the-web-as-weve-known-it

FOSTA will "subject websites to criminal and civil liability when third parties (users) misuse online personals unlawfully," Craigslist explains in the brief notice that now appears in place of potential partners if you try to go to a personals listing .

Under current law, the site can't be held legally liable if someone uses veiled terms to solicit commercial sex—aka prostitution—through the Craigslist personals. But FOSTA will change that, opening up Craigslist (and every other digital platform) to serious legal and financial jeopardy should it accidently "promote" or "facilitate" prostitution.

Prostitution, mind you, is not sex trafficking, which has a distinct meaning both colloquially and under the law. In the simplest terms, prostitution involves consent and sex trafficking does not.

"Any tool or service can be misused," Craigslist said a statement. "We can't take such risk without jeopardizing all our other services, so we are regretfully taking craigslist personals offline. Hopefully we can bring them back some day. To the millions of spouses, partners, and couples who met through craigslist, we wish you every happiness!"

Craigslist isn't the only one making changes since FOSTA's passage. On Friday, the adult-ad forum CityVibes disappeared. And on Thursday, Reddit banned several sex-related subreddits, including r/Escorts, r/MaleEscorts, and r/SugarDaddy.

I don't know if this forum is US hosted or connected to USA in any way, but it would be worth investigating if there is any threat to it.

I note that CL ads still operate in other countries.

I'll be the first to defend the greatest nation on Earth, AMERICA, IMHO.

But, America has lost its mind. Over regulation on everything, and completely unreasonable application. Today, you can barely even wink at a woman without being reported in papers and fear of law suit (and even insinuations of criminal behavior), let alone all the laws concerning every other aspect of life, including financial and medical. Now FOSTA. What a joke.

And teenage delinquents can buy machine guns...         What a  horrible idea that is to peace loving sybarites the world over :Electric Shock:

i think the law allows victims to sue the company that provides the advertising to the traffickers

the effect is the same as banning it though

imho it's unconstitutional but, we have a slew of unconstitutional laws that are enforced on the daily in USA

ho's are pretty resourceful though, this will be a minor blip

they'll advertise as maids or some shit

While it allows for private law suits, the law is aimed at making website and app owners liable / responsible for the posting of it's users, making those websites subject to criminal prosecution and fines.  It is a nefarious law, they wrap it in an 'anti-sex-trafficking' label to stifle opposition.  Who is going to come out against an 'Anti-sex trafficking' bill and look good?

Even though the bills supporters intentions may have been good, this is an attack on the freedom of speech on the internet that has far reaching consequences past escort ads.

One might be right to wonder if a website like this, hosted in the U.S. shouldn't be considering their options when you read things like this:

"SESTA/FOSTA expands federal prostitution law to cover those who use the Internet to “promote or facilitate prostitution.” "

As one mentioned above, might had been good intended, but the exicution is a joke.. You can't make a provider of such platform lyable for the stuff his users post.. Period!!

Where dose the policing of peoples lives start, and where dose it stop??

The re-election campaign for Trump will get a lot of money from  gun and ammunition’s providers.

Where a lot of money (for re-election) is involved, Trump is expected to stroke those groups nicely.

Indeed, Good SM78.

Though, I think if you are like my Good Self.

You will not be particularly perturbed.

And waiting, with baited breath, for the new range of websites.

Duly established outside of the Good Old U.S. of A.

As if there weren't a bunch of them, anyway. Already.

Storm in a teacup, My Good Man.

The Erotic Review has closed access to all US-based members, which is a major blow to guys in the US trying to find safe and reliable escorts.  If these lawmakers were actually able to think, they would realize that TER actually furthered their aims because it got the pimp out of the picture, and made for a safer playing field for all.

Indeed.

So interesting that these Snowflakes would seek to blame Mr.

Trump for.......

Lack of Hookers?

Actually, Let us ask Mr. Clinton?

I'm sure he has some contacts?

Old School, though.

Of course.

Actually, this is the idea.

The idea of fooling the Younger Generation into thinking that the "Consciousness Of The World"

Starts with THEIR Generation.

Well, I've got news for YOU, Good Snowflakes.

NO.

It didn't.

Indeed, One might have caught it..............

Going past.............

Again...........
