I spent almost 2 weeks at Daves, Canterbury Tales, this December and I recommend it HIGHLY!

At least suite 12A, Fantastic suite, its not luxury but its my kind of place with a double balcony overlooking Pattaya street life. It was fucking perfect for my way of thinking! Its not for everybody but I think I will stay there every time from now on.


I usually go to very nice hotels and I didn't know what I was missing. Your a friend the day you walk in this place instead of a customer. Of course you are a customer but they make you feel otherwise! Priceless!

I was especially impressed by a bloke named Keith that filled way to many requests with a simple smile and "no problem" attitude. Its actually the same with everyone there.

My only worry is... that the next time I want a room there.... they will be overbooked...

Have booked 15 nights in room 3c looks sweet on the web-site that daves got for canterbury tales, and will catch up with Dave, between the 5th and the 10th before in nip down to samui for 5 days.... am sure dodgey Keith will be lurking about LOL

glad to see this thread. I am a thai food junkie, but i also love a good english breakfast after a night out, and I'm also a relentless reader. I'll be in Pattaya in March and I will definitely be stopping in. As an aside, i thought the pictures of the food looked pretty damn appetizing..

CTC+B is still a great place in Feb'12. Didn't stay there (just had breakfast)....but guests told me it was all top shelf and dave is always helpful and obliging to everyone. Highly highly recommended.

I have taken breakfast there a few times in the past and must say it was passable for the price,I have also exchanged a few paperbacks there over the years, the last time I went in was November 2011 for Breakfast with a ladyboy in tow, the lady was made to feel quite u comfortable by the crowd of people who congregate there every morning, I am sure Dave knows who they are as he is usually sitting with them although on this particular day he was absent,the looks ,snide comments where appreciated, I for one will be taking my custom elsewhere if I have a ladyboy with me.
