On my last visit I stayed at Siam Bayview Hotel which was excellent, right on the beach front with a lovely pool. The staff were tremendous nothing was to much trouble for them.Breakfast although expensive at 600bht was the best I have had in Thailand,as much as you want American Breakfast cooked to order by the buffet chef.
The rooms are spacious with a balcony,37inch plasma TV with satellite channels from UK and US,clean sheets and towels every day.
Best of all they are LB friendly,I took 3 different LBs and 2 GG back at different times, the staff were extremely polite and non judgemental towards them, there was no guest charges unless they took breakfast.I spent hours beside the pool with my different guests during the day,the only thing they insist on is that the guest must produce an ID card or Passport and you must escort them out when the guest is to leave.
I booked the hotel via Agoda.com at 1800bht per night which is very cheap for a hotel of this quality, but be warned if you walk in and try to get a room the rack rate is 4200bht.
I will be staying there on my next trip in April if I cant find a suitable apartmentAttached Image: 101.JPG

Looking Good!

I stayed at Siam Bayview hotel on second Rd between Soi 9 & Soi 10 on my first trip to LOS in April 04.
As it was "My first Time" I booked it through a Travel agent and they must have only booked me as a single.
The room had two single beds and every time I wanted to take someone back to the room it was 800Baht.

Really nice hotel good view if you get a room looking over the bay, but beware what you are booking.

Cheers

Yes the business of paying for a guest seems to kick in if you book with a travel agent,it happened every day to another guy who had booked it from UK via Thomas Cook they charged him 1000 baht a go.His costs worked out damn expensive it cost him £2100 for a 2 week package before any extra charges.
Book via Agoda.com and it will cost around 1800 baht a night and that entitles you to a double room, you request a double bed on booking also.I had not stayed there previously so I booked only for 2 nights initially to test the water so to speak, since then I have stayed there for around 23 nights in total without a single problem.
But like the poster above says make sure you dont book through a travel agent as they will charge you more.
