Drugged Chewing Gum

He picked up a F/L Girls close to our guesthouse on soi 12 and took her back to his room, She then procedded to give him some chewing gum, said it would be good for him!!No it was not.
He woke up late this morning, to find no girl and no wallet, no Rolex watch (taken from wrist) no credit cards etc etc, needless to say he is fairly gutted, and still a little shell shocked from the drugs.
Any way guys, just be careful when you take Free lancers back to your room, and use the room/ hotel safes.

Was it an actual girl or ladyboy? not that it makes a difference.

That is the first time I have heard of this tac-tic. Absolute nightmare and he should be thankful that all he has lost is his possessions.
These sedative drugs can be SO dangerous. If a person is already on some sort of medication that regulates the heart / chronic pain etc, an additional sedative on top of alcohol consumption could easily put them into cardiac arrest.
Thanks for the heads up mate as I don't think I would have thought anything sinister of a piece of chewing gum if offered.
These forums are ace. I would never have thought to check under the beds at ST rooms and I read it from here by BM Rock.... who told me about this scam. It saved me a small fortune in SE Asia one day.

JCS,
Thanks for reporting this new development on this potentially deadly scam/rip-off theme. Maybe this would be a good place to pool our collective knowledge to hopefully prevent other BMs from falling prey to this trap. I for one was a little skeptical on some of the past reports of drugged nipples, as it seemed to me that there would be too little drug present to be effective. This assumption would seem to be false if enough drugs can be concealed on a piece of chewing gum.
JCS did the fellow you were helping say anything about how the gum tasted?
Was it salty tasting? (GHB derivative of some kind) Not a flavor a gum should be.
Was it bitter tasting? (chloral hydrate ”old mickey”) also not an expected flavor.
Both of these can be easily concealed in a drink and a drunken or partially inebriated BM might not know the difference or brush it off as “whatever” with more important things on his mind (LB/GG). On chewing gum or a breast one would hope an unnatural flavor would be a “red flag”.
As a precaution it might pay to alert the front desk that they should check in on your room in 15 minutes if one finds he has ingested some flavor that he is not expecting or starts to feel like he’s losing control. Unfortunately I don’t know if there is enough warning, for the losing control aspect, as maybe it comes on to fast to react. The initial feeling might be covered by alcohol consumption. I personally don’t drink so I would make excuse to go to the front desk upon feeling funny and tell them of my suspicions and wait to see if I got progressively worse.
Presumably most of the roofie/chloral hydrate/GHB drugs take between 15 to 45 minutes to take full effect. I do not know what the preceding 15 to 30 minutes are like. I would assume dizziness, blurred vision, slurred speech etc but this is just an educated guess. This is one of the areas that BM’s first hand knowledge or things they have heard would be helpful.
I may be less a target as I am not a drinker but hopefully we can come up with some “guidelines” or “possible signs” to help protect those that do partake in some liquid libation. No one deserves to be ripped off in this manner let alone have his life threatened for the reasons LULT points out so well above.
So if you have any knowledge or thoughts on the subject please post them and maybe we can help protect one another as I’m sure unscrupulous PRP workers are designing new methods of drug administration as we speak.
Just thought of another tip I picked up somewhere. I understand that many that might try and drug you will do so by ordering the same drink as you have, drug that one at their convenience out of your site and then switch the entire drink with yours in one quick movement. If you drink out of a bottle or can it is good to get into the habit of marking it, inconspicuously, by scratching off a bit of the label from a beer bottle or twist the top on a can to 90 degrees so you recognize it as different from all others and never drink from it if its not as you marked it.

I gues warning bells should have been ringing at this time, but i guess the prospect of a sexy lady and the effect of the booze had knocked most of his sense for six.

visited I'd brought the Lonely Planet guides for the various countries and in these it mentioned the various scams
that have been spoken about and in fact I remember in Manila in particular reading warning notices bringing to your
attention all the scams being used.
As has been mentioned, obviously alcohol has a major effect on your powers of observation but to be given some gum
which was taken, spat out and then take some more......one wonders if any warning notice would have been taken notice of.
Would anyone in there own country, take a lady of the night, who'd they'd never met before and accept an unknown
substance from them,probably not.
But lets hope the guy concerned recovers and importantly, learns his lesson.

When in a bar, I always keep my drink in front of me so I can keep my eyes on it, and I never leave it unattended. If I need to go to the toilet, I take it with me--no matter if the bathroom is unsanitary or if it is hard to hold a bottle and piss at the same time. That is less of an inconvenience than being drugged. This also sends a signal to anyone watching that I am careful.
I don't take freelancers as a rule, and if I occasionally violate my own rule, it is only with a well-known freelancer. Now, this means I have to avoid a hot little freelancer now and then, but better safe now than sorry later.
When I am in a room with a LB, I am careful to always watch my drink, and if for some reason it's been out of my line of sight, I get a new one and leave the old one untouched.
My golden rule in this situation is: do not eat or drink anything offered me by a ladyboy that might be drugged...and this applies to GGs or anyone else for that matter.

And I don't mean to slag him off in his time of suffering.
But I can't help but notice you mentioned his Rolex was stolen (presume you mean a real one, not a knock off)
WTF!! Why would anyone wear a Rolex when picking up FL's in Pattaya???!!!

Thanks for that compliment, Englishmac. It's nice to be mentioned in the same sentence as James Bond. I was in Scouting once, and the programme motto was "Be prepared." Time spent preparing for, and hopefully avoiding, trouble is time well-spent.

I guess some people just don't realise that wearing a lot of jewellery, and or expensive watches attracts the wrong type of attention!!!
My watch and ring stays safely in the safe until i am just about to go in the taxi back to the airport.

Why even take a watch and rings to LOS? If need to have a watch, it's easy to buy a really cheap one that will do what it needs to... "tell time".
And why would anyone want to take a rolex there? First of all, they tend to just be ego boosters, but really who are these people trying to impress there, especially with the high risk of losing it, having it damaged or stolen? I just don't get their thinking.

I take mine. I have an Explorer II, but its certainly not for show or anything like that. I just like wearing it to be honest.
I take it to the Rolex shop at Siam Paragon to get cleaned and polished. UK Rolex outlet charges me £175 to do this (I kid you not!) and the Thai Rolex charge me 2000 baht!!
Its insured, so if anything happened I would get it replaced. Im not going to let a skanky thief dictate how I live my life. Obviously I take precautions to put it away at night in the safe if I have a 'guest'.
