Some good suggestions here. None of the venues I know amongst them I would take any real issue with (I like a fat boy's English) but I am a stickler for consistency, hence The Queen Victoria on Soi 6 is always a winner for me. And yes, it's North Pattaya, strictly speaking. One whinge - black pudding is an extra. It's not the money, it's having to order it as an extra!

The 'old' Shenannigins could go and fuck itself though. I expected way better of that place's Irish breakfast. This was when it was 'under' and in front of The Marriott. I hope it's improved. I'm sure it has.

'Palmers'. Hmm. Interesting choice. It's a bugger if you're trying to read a paper though! (Fans)

Bread. Someone mentioned bread. Never underestimate the power of bread for mopping up manoeuvres. Sod the little plastic boxes of jam. Gimme the bread. That's egg yolk and bean juice there. It needs to be dunked and mopped with good toast. That doesn't mean posh bread necessarily, just good toast. Toasted - not tanned lightly.

The Butcher's Arms on Soi Bukhao I tried again last Thursday morning. Okay - but the beans were a bit 'meh' and - crucially - no black pudding. Plus points for Colman's English Mustard. Sausage was strange, but fine, particularly with a good dollop of the old yellow magic.

Staff have a tendency to hover. Peaceful though. Impossible to read the newspaper as they have a plastic 'spine' that means it has to be read two-handed and stretched out. Still it is the Daily Mail so it's not like that's an deal-breaker. House prices affected in the South East.
