I have just come back from the Continental Bakery just off soi Choyapoon, Excellent Breakfast for 149bht

You get the full works and by god does it soak up last nights alcohol.
JCS,
Is this the place on the little soi by the back entrance to CanterburyTales? As I passed it many times on my way to the room, but never stopped in to check out the menu,if so then I'll be definitely giving it a look on my next trip as I know that it provides a great feed now.
Thanks for the tip,
Iceberg

I gave continental a try the other day and liked it a lot. Many choices, including some pretty good Thai food according to my friend. I thought the coffee there was quite good too.

Thanks for the tip, JCS.

A perfectly cooked Egg's benedict will be offered in casa pascal but its probably not a standard dish for them. The odds of having an English muffin base and decent ham are next to zero, perhaps outside of the marriott's breakfast cafe. Having said that, if you want anything that complex to make (and it being fresh) you almost have no option but to go somewhere high end. Anywhere that says they have eggs benedict for under 200b is not using fresh sauces and odds are you will end up with some kind of thousand island sauce (well its looks kinda the same colour) over couple poached eggs on a piece of toast.

The picture looks great but the more I look at it, I see one of the sausages is "cut" and I can't help thinking what those two femboys look like!

I will drop in and try their brekkie one morning. Thanks 68+1

I am pretty sure those sausies were cut by whoever is eating it. It wasn't me who took the pic, I just got it from facebook.

I stayed there for 10 nights on my last trip and the breakfast is very good. The sausages are top notch and none of them kind of Frankfurter type sausages that alot of places use. These taste like real proper British sausages.

I often visit the Queen Victoria in Soi 6.

All day breakfast - Bacon, Sausage, Mushroom, Beans, Tomato and Eggs any style you want
Includes Toast/Marmalade and wither Orange Juice/Coffee/Tea - about 160 baht

They also have brnaded Ketchup, HP Sauce and Worcestershire sauce.

For 175 baht + VAT you can stuff your face all through the morning until 2 pm at Casa Pascal's buffet breakfast. They have a live grill, where they cook eggs, bacon, sausages, even chops, fresh on command, and good hash browns in the buffet, along with some pasta, soup, Thai food and vegetables. Coffee, soft drinks, salad bar, fresh croissants, etc etc all included. It's one of the places that keeps me fat.

I also very much like the Continental Bakery, but go to their branch in Jomtien. Breakfast available all day, including good black pudding. Mmm! I think I'm going to go there right now...

That would be a pretty perfect breakfast if only they had not deep fried the sausages - nothing worse IMHO.
