I my self have been to Thailand 10 times now,and never ever have i been to a Swedish restaurante....nor will i ever be.
Ok,i admit to the fact that i have been to Mc D, a couple of times(maybe 3-4 all togheter while stumble home drunk as a skunk.
As the saying goes: When in Rom,do it like the roman`s....or in this case, when in Thailand,Eat Thaifood......And GOD knows i love it.
And the Thai cousine(spelling? ) is one of the most tasteful in the world IMO

There is a Dutch restaurant opposite Mike Shopping Mall (backside) in the arcades to Soi Diana Inn. Almost opposite the Big Horn Steakhouse.

Thailand was an elective R&R point for me some years ago when I was stationed in various places in East Asia, South Asia and the Middle East. The European and American food one could find on the local economy was non-existent, or badly done and/or costly. When on R&R I discovered that in Bangkok or Pattaya I could find relatively cheap, tasty and authentic food--not only Thai food, but food from other places as well. So when in Thailand I sometimes crave food other than Thai.
As for Dutch food, thanks for the lead about the restaurant. I especially like Stamppot (that potato-endive-ham dish).

But really authentic german food can be found at the Berliner Bistro on Soi 13. It's a bit a hidden spot, but there are quite many germans, because you can get all kinds of german food here the way it is served in Germany.
I've only been there once because it is tradition in Germany to eat Sauerkraut on the first of January (for luck and full a wallet in the new year...
