On my previous stays I had a Deluxe Room (Room 708 both times) that was very roomy and comfortable. This trip, since I am staying longer, and will be spending more on the girls as a result, I am opting for a standard room, so will let you guys know how it works out with the smaller option when I get there in August.
Food at Cherry's up on the roof is pretty good, and service is great. I have to do almost daily video conferences with clients back in Japan over breakfast, and the waitresses all think it is funny to watch me talking to myself (at least that must be how it looks) while on Skype. Since it is right next to the pool, easy to get food or drink while out for a swim, and no extra charge for room service.
Stringfellows is just a quick skip, jump and hard cock walk away, which can be dangerous, because it is easy to get lost in the Soi 13 Triangle and never sample the other delights of Pattaya. Speaking of which, the tuk tuk is a free ride to Second Street, dropping you off right across from Obsessions (loved this place last trip) or you can request a Soi Buahkaow (I think it is called) drop off. They also do free pick up if you call the hotel.
Staff has always been VERY friendly to me, and only giggled a little when I would come in with my 3rd short time of the day, man I love Apcalis Gel, lol.
Only complaint is the driver service to and from the airport, which is not really them, but the company they use. Last time, driver failed to meet me at the Exit 3 and seemed on the verge of falling asleep the whole way, and stopped for a smoke break at the rest area about half way down. But hey, if he needed a nicotine rush to get me there in one piece, I am not complaining to much.
Nice feature on the low season rates is pay for 6 nights and get the 7th free, so a week for 6000 baht, not bad at all.
Just thought I would throw in my two cents since they are now a forum sponsor. I love the place, and will use it this August and beyond.

Also, and I think it goes without saying since they are advertising here, they are very Ladyboy friendly. In fact they could care less, as long as they have an ID who you bring back to your room

Great pics and report in the other posts.
While I went there I noticed that current banner ad here was for PBR, that's pretty funny.

I know that most of the time they run at 100% capacity (they keep one room free at all times in case someone has a problem and has to move rooms in the night) so if you are planning to book PBR then best to book as far in advance as possible.

Not true... I am staying there right now (even using there wifi to make this post) all the required from me was a credit card number (just to write down on the booking form) providing I don't charge anything to my room/break anything then it will not be used which is pretty standard for most hotels these days.

U can read from ure self:
Dear ......
A 500.00 baht per night refundable security deposit (capped at 3,000.00 baht) for daily and weekly rates and 10,000.00 baht for monthly rates, is required upon check-in. If you pay using a credit card, we authorize, but do not charge the amount against your card unless needed. If you pay by cash, any unused amount is refunded to you upon check-out.
The purpose of the security deposit is many; we leave our telephones open and you can call anywhere in the world, you can order room service, charge food or beverage in the restaurant and pool area, use our laundry service, etc. It is also for lost keys, we use a very advanced laser cut key system which cannot be duplicated. If you loose your room key, we have to replace the entire locking mechanism, replace the electric micro-chip room card and replace and program out the digital access card for our security doors. Finally, it is a deterent against room damage which happens in rare cases.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions.

And yes,i do think it is a very nice deal to stay there becourse of the price, but to be honest....there is so much other things that i for one value about PBR.
1st. Close to walking street and the mall (Avenue that is)
2nd.Close to Soi 13 and 13/1
3d. Easy to get to Soi 7-8 from there(just a little stroll through the mall and you can catch a Songtow.)
Only down side for me at least,is that the Gym/Fitness room is poor.
And last but not least, the STAFF,every single one of them is fantastic, and manager Mr.Kim is a wonderful and nice guy.
Ps.If you take care of the lady cleaning your room,i promisse she will take care of you(just tip her something extra now and again)
And for the pervs, with the above i dont mean any sex services.

I think the reason I never had to make a deposit is that I paid in advance for my complete stay the first visit, and always made sure I was a day or two ahead at least on the last visit.
Plus, Matrix is right about the maid service, I always left a tip on my bed before running up to the roof for breakfast and always came home to a cleaned room with extra towels and a fridge that seem to keep filling up with water. It was nice to know that in the time it took me to eat and do a video conference (wi-fi on the roof is great) they would have my room ready on my return.
Also, the staff were pretty nice to me because I made a habit of tipping. I always left something, even with the free breakfast, which it seemed most did not do. Even on days when I forgot to grab my wallet out of the safe, I would make a quick run back upstairs and apologize for not leaving a tip. It ain't much to us, but to them it is a nice bonus, so leave a little something. Plus, the waitresses flirted with me like mad, which is always nice.

There are plenty more of the same quality and price in good locations.
They have everything I need, close to evrything, its was only the deposit I didnt felt confortable with cous I never payed deposit before. And what some others BM`s write in this tread about PBR i give it a try.
I also searched other hotels with pool and fitness but didn`t find with the same rates. Not to 1400 bath a night. Matrix say its worth it. His swedish and I`m Norwegian..cant be that bad??

I just handed over my credit card when I checked in and it was all sorted, they never actually take any money from your card unless they have to.
That worked for me because it meant I didn't have to hand over any of my hard earn't beer tokens!
I think this is pretty much standard practise now in Pattaya.
For the record this isnt an advanced deposit you pay it on check in.
