Well it looks like I might be returning to Pattaya sooner than I thought. My situation is that my work contract and Visa in South Korea terminates August 23. I will have to do a Visa run and need a place to stay in another country as I wait for a new job contract to start in Korea. I don't know who my next employer will be and when my next job contract will start, but I would like to start my next job within 30 days of my current contracts termination.

So I'm looking for a place I can stay at for up to 30 days pretty cheap. I have to make my money last during this time, so I will have to live more like a backpacker than a mongerer/two week millionaire. Of course I will partake in the occasional monger activities. I'm only human.

I don't want to stay at a hostel, because this is not a vacation. I won't have a home in Korea and will have to bring a lot of my personal stuff with me. I don't feel it will be safe in a hostel. If anyone can recommend a cheap but nice apartment or hotel in Patts for someone in my situation, it would be much appreciated.

Loads of places where you can get an appartment style room for less that $500 or about 14k send pm to Terry he found somewhere yesterday, also hotel on Soi 11 Sawasadee something or other 10k a month till Oct

vm terrace in soi buakhao is good value and very safe at just under 10000 per month - should be a spot there at this time of year.
they also have god safe boxes where you and the staff must open at the same time (separate keys)
It is mostly family oriented but no problem with ladies / ladyboys as long as they are not too slutty looking - again this is just a security
issue as the staff are very friendly and helpful.
the location is good and very close to centre road and soi 8 bars - especially cheap ones like Janes bar

Nice thing is that he prorates the monthly rate on a daily basis which is espwecially good for your situation since u don't know when your next contract will begin.

Hi chaps,

well wil be out and about lookin for cheap long stay room tmow as staying several months.

Wil try along 3rd road as like to have look around side sois as plenty new places opened up recently and as swine canine says plenty deals goin on so hope to see and wil let u know.

Got to have wifi tho/ aircon/ cable tv/ hot shower/ decent big room wiv balcony and am in!!!
