Ok, I have reservations for Queen Vic for the first part of my Oct stay. I arrive at the airport around 11:50pm. I contacted the hotel, via email to let them know I'll be checking in well after midnight. (I didn't want to lose my room)..Anyway, They told me since the bar will be closed, I have to go to the back door and check in with the "guard". I take it there is no "reception area" after hours..? or even during..? I'm wondering if this is the same "back door" I have seen in other posts that if you are shy with LBs, you can just use to bring them to your room without anyone seeing you..? For the record..I'm far from shy to be seen with an LB..
I guess I'm looking for anyone of you guys that stayed there so I can prepare myself. I stayed at PBR in April and the reception desk was open 24 hrs. It was comforting to know my guests were checked for age so I didn't get my drunken ass in trouble!
Does Queen Vic work the same way..?

You can bring guests in during the day unseen by climbing the fire escape/outside stairs on the back of the building.

Also possible thru the building's back door during business hours *if* the inside stairs to your room are on the same end of the building as the back door. If not you must traverse the length of the bar to get the other inside stairs.

I don't know if the guy on the back steps at night checks for age.

Make sure they understand exactly when you're coming. I had a similar schedule, arrived and no room. They had thought I was coming the next day.

Well, he takes the ID card and, if you're still at it when his shift ends, you'll have to get it back at the reception desk.

I always send the girls or LB's to pick up there own ID card from reception in the morning,

You can Check-Inn every time on QV if they know you arrived at this time. And the Security guy knows that you come and the last trip he help me also with the laugage without asking for help. Never bad experience at this place.

Of course. I was using 'you' in a colloquial way - I didn't mean one has to get the girl's ID card back for her.

I was going to stay there on my last trip, but they informed me about construction going on. I have a room with a balcony..can't wait!!

Sorry maybe it's stupid question, but I want to be sure: on their site is said that they charge for the room, not per person. So does it mean, that I can have more that one overnight "guest"?

You can have many you like there...n they got only a Security guy no reception..so you can take any one n how many you like...
That's it with a guest friendly Hotels..Then you got some hotels don't charge for the first guess but do for the second one,and then some will charge to any guest...which we call not guest friendly..

This guy have the best job in Pattaya. I must wake up him every time. Not sure if he noticed if you have a key and open the door.

The thing that people might not like about the QV is that everything is right in your face 24hours a day,

wheather you leave out the front or back way out of the Vic, your subjected to a constant barrage of 'me go with you ST',

'why u not take me', and 'have room ST', even I've found it a bit to much some days.

I never walk down soi 6 or 6/1.

I haven't for more than a year.

Last two experiences in 6/1 were so bad that I don’t miss it at all.
