1. Kiss Restaurant -- 2nd road across from Big Mike Shopping mall. Great food, great prices, great place to bring your girl for breakfast in the morning (that is a substantial amount of their morning business, based on what I have seen).
2. Forbidden Alley -- Not really the name of the place, just calling it that because its located in one of those alleys along Walking Street. It is located right next to the entrance of the Beach Club GoGo Bar. Fish, chicken, its always amazing (and cheap). Get a seat in front around 8ish, and watch the talent for the evening go into the gogo. In fact, any of the street venders on that street are pretty damn good as well.

Baywatch Cafe on Beach Road; about two or three blocks north of Royal Garden Mall. Great Thai food and the best coffee in Pattaya.

I often used to eat here late before hitting the final few bars of the evening along Second road and in Soi 2.

For Thai food we use the food market on Pattaya Klang a lot cant miss it ,its about 200yrds from 2nd Rd traffic lights going toward 3rd rd,dead cheap and is always full of Thai office workers, I tend to avoid eating in bars,I use them for boozing and shagging

That looks like my kinda place furryman.
Looks very authentic and well worth a try, I am going to try a lot more local food this time in Patts. I always did the street food at the end of the night but I am looking for more places where the locals eat.
Cheers.

I've been there a couple times myself. Not bad.
However, me being from the US makes me too retarded to use chopsticks. It seems like many times I had to ask the waiter for a fork.
By the way, I noticed Kiss has a good crowd at all times of the day. I never seen a slow time for them.

If you fancy a change and want a quieter place with air-con a nice choice can be the food court in Central Festival mall (next to Soi 9).
IIRC, the prices for Thai food are more or less comparable to the food stalls in street, and everything is very clean and of course - air con.

Very good food mostly caters to the locals - cheap, authentic and very very good. They speak only Thai, but have an english menu - just point and you're fine.
