Planning a trip for the spring of 2011 looking to find hotel with in room safe, ladyboy friendly and of course close to the action. Any and all recommendations would be appreciated form all.

Just have a look in the Hotel/Guesthouse thread, Most Hotels have Room safes, and a vast percentage now seem to be LB friendly.
Can only recommend if we know your budget.

OK for a budget would consider on the order of 1500 - 2000 bhat, should get a nice hotel. One other thing I forgot to mention should have no joiner fee. I know when I went to Phuket last year so long as a booked the room for 2 there was not joiner fee if I came back with a lovely ladyboy is this also true in Pats?

LEK hotel soi 13 has in room safe cheap mini bar and lb friendly even 2 guests no problem. look after the bell boys on night shift they will even go to 7 11 for you.

Penthouse Hotel has in room safes. They are definrtly LB friendly.

Would recommend Nova Park Executive Serviced Apartments....all rooms have electronic safes, guest friendly...even two at a time... 
a short-5 minute walk to 2nd road and Soi 6...7-11 at your doorstep... kitchenette, pool, and a great pub (Jameson's) in the same building.. a deluxe studio (the one I stayed in last November) was 1050 THB...though you get it cheaper if you book on Agoda.
