I've stayed here on my last 4 trips... I love it there.

You can get a one bedroom suite for 1450 which is very good value IMO, the rooms are massive.

Just booked for my November trip.

Anyone else stayed there?

Hi
Been lurking here for a long time. Plucking up my courage to start participating. Yes, I have stayed in the Residence Garden for my last three visits. Really loved it. Friendly staff. Spacious, clean suites, nice pool, OK restaurant on the premises. 10 minutes walk to WS and convenient for baht-bus routes to Jomtien and Pattaya. The transfer they arrange for you from BK airport to the hotel is quite expensive but very reliable so I have been using it anyway. Only thing is, I have only ever taken GGs the RG. On my next trip (last week Oct-first week Nov)I plan to focus more on the LB scene. Will I have any problems bringing in LBs to the RG?
Thanks for this exciting and very helpful forum.
Cheers,
AP

I have stayed at the RG a dozen times over the last few years.

Never had a problem with ladyboys.

If you are a bit shy, then the restaurant closes around 11pm so the waitress staff around the reception area go home then, and the night staff for reception also start around 11h30/12midnight. So, if you take a lb back after that, you will not see the daytime staff at all....so no embarrassment next day.

They actually have 2 pools. The one out front is more for splashing around and gets more sun. The one at the back is still not huge, but you can do some real swimming if you want.

There are a couple of small "coffee bars" across the road if you need your "full english breakfast" fix, and also a Family Mart right across the road as well.

All the rooms in the main building above reception are one bedroom apartments

Great value at 1450 Baht in my opinion

I've stayed there a year ago, the place is lovely and clean, no problem with joiner/s,,,,2 pools (actualy therewas an exite directly from my room to the back pool which was great, the only thing to cosider about back pool is that there are diving courses during the day, all in all good value for money.

Stayed in the RG last week Oct/first week Nov 2010 as planned. Brought in a few ladyboys (amongst them striking Aoy from Pat Bar, Soi 6). No problems and the ataff were as friendly and welcoming as ever. This really is my favorite hotel for Pattaya trips.
Cheers
