April is hardly high season, for the price of UK 760 I would have searched around a bit, especially with Lufty having some offers, as will EK, QR still have to fight for the customer.
Good I live on continental Europa, 530 euro from Amsterdam this march with Lufthansa, 540 euro in Oktober with Cathay!
Thing is you have to be vigilante on good offers, when you see a good price, book it, if you don't see something, just wait for it.

I just looked for end of this month, Getting to Phuket via Singapore is cheaper than flying to Bangkok !
