Im thinking of trying a long stay holiday in Pattaya soon and have been checking out the LK Hotel Group in Pattaya...they have about 5-6 resorts around town of varying degrees of luxury and price....looks like an extremely good chain from their website....ive identified the LK MANSION serviced aparthotel as a possibility to stay long term as thier rates a very good and the quality looks great....based in North Pattaya and handy for both bars, Alcazar and Tiffany...Tescos also round the corner.......

Any comments about this or any other LK Hotels in Pattaya would be most welcome......

Never stayed at that one... Stayed at the Renaissance, only complaint was the studio rooms only have a bath, no shower. Otherwise it's a great hotel. Have had a look in the rooms at the metropole also very nice.

They have recently opened LK Miracle suites could be a deal to be done there... A stunning hotel.

I think the one you have picked is the oldest in the group which is reflected in the price.

Well there is a shower thingy but no curtain or screen. It is a very nice bath though... Has a button for bubbles and all that. I agree it is very annoying though. I wouldn't stay in a studio room again.

No worries... As it's a new hotel you may be able to do a deal. Perhaps if you offer cash upfront and don't require breakfast? Worth a shot, if you don't ask you don't get!

Same to you!

Bob, I thought you said you were going to stay at August suites?

When I was in Pattaya, I asked a bar girl which is the best hotel in town. I figured she should know having experienced way more hotels than I ever will. She said the Amari Orchid.

Now, I cannot recommed it. I know nothing about it except I think its location is a liitle out of the way. Nor can I speak on value. This is just what a bar girl recommended to me as the best place in town.

Just thought I'd throw in my $.02

Actually that sounds quite posh, just no separate shower. I thought you meant it had no shower at all.

LK Hotel's are usually great, the only one I dislike is the LK Royal on Soi Bucaow.

Check on whether internet is free, extra charges for cleaning, etc....

Hi Bob ... LK is ok , but very busy all the time and therefore quite noisy !!.. there are rooms there however above the smaller bars from 400 to 500 baht per night .. and very handy .

I am not sure what your price range is but please let me know and I will try and find something thats close to everything , but quieter and good value for money .

Soi 13 is very handy for bars like La Bamba and Stringfellows and right in the middle of town , but reasonably quiet .. there are 3 or 4 hotels there including Dynasty hotel and Whitehouse Hotel .. Sandy Spring amongst others .. anyway check them out on the web .

Pattaya is still feeling the effects of the politcal unrest and the tourist numbers are down so there are plenty of great deals to be had .. as I live here I often see rooms being offered for 700 baht per night or less ...

Anyway if you need any advice or help just PM me .. its the least I can do for a guy who has given me so may free pics !!!!!!!

LK Mansion is so far my best recommendation for a long stay.

I have bn there (a handfull other places too) now for years, and especially the new renovated complex (its that one above the smugglers bar) is perfect.

Quiet (if you dont book romm #503 or #504 wich are facing directly soi buakhao). Very very clean ( maid every second day). safe ( 24 hour secy. a safety box at the reception for free). and very very lb-friendly !!

all in all the monthly rate was round about 13.000 bath all inclusive.

I have cn the august suites and they are perfect as well - may be the rooms there are even a bit more fashionable. But i would prefer the mansion wich has a bit more family spirit.
this is something i appreciate as helpfull during a longstay.

looks like this is my hotel review day today... sadly i have no pics here. sorry

have been in lk mansion before renovations - quite like it there. Also VM terrace next door has been done up and is not bad - nice people/secure.

Usually stay near soi diana these days - New Nikom court is nice and good value in low season - might try soi 13 next time for a few days for top location !

have to agree about the perennial problem of noise in Pattaya hotels !!
