I have been back home just shy of a month. I thought I would post pix of the hotel where I stayed.

This is the Fraser Resort. I already posted a review on another thread. This thread is just to show some pix.
But, I have nothing but good things to say about this place.
Great location, decent price, no joiner fees, LB friendly, free wi-fi, in room safe.
You can see a guy waiting by the door to open it for anyone entering or leaving. I thought that was a nice touch.

Here, my back is against the door. The room is a little small, but I wasn't planning on spending much time there. Just a place to sleep and shag.

As you can see, a king size bed. By the way, this is the cheapest room that the Fraser offers. They do have some upgrades available, but I wasn't interested in that.

Here is the sink and shower. You can kind of see the toilet in the reflection of the glass of the shower.

Very comfortable room.

Best vacation ever. I can't wait to return.

I give it two thumbs way up and I can not possibly overstate how much I enjoyed staying there. I definatly recommend this resort.

Hey SM!

Fraser Resort looks really nice.....your room looked very modern and clean/fresh.....was it quiet at night?....what were the other facilities like(restaurant, pool etc)?

Could you just confirm what you paid per night?.....have you a link to the other thread?...i cant find it.

I looked at the Fraser Resort's reviews on Agoda and Booking.com and a lot of guests say that there is poor sound insulation between rooms and can be noisy at night with noise from people in corridors and doors closing. Pool is small and shaded on second floor, with only a couple of sun loungers, though there is a sun deck on roof.
I was looking at rates at end of March and they seem to be £30-35 for Deluxe Room, and £34-41
for Deluxe Courtyard Room.

I don't think I'd stay at Fraser Resort, I have just been looking at the August Suites and April Suites threads, which do give good reports. Would depend on the price - seems you have to negotiate with them directly. I still haven't made my mind up whether I want to go to Phuket, Jomtien, or back to Pattaya.
And the fare to Phuket seems to have gone up from just under £600 to £680 in the last week.

I'll be honest, there are only a couple of hotels that I've stayed at that haven't had the similar problem as stated above. Unfortunately, it seems to be part of the whole monger's hotel package with guests returning in the small hours with little regard for guests who may be keeping at different hours. I'm not trying to stamp out other guests fun, but it's my holiday too...and I don't want to be kept up half the night listeningg to banal corridor conversations. The more popular the hotel, the worse the problem is - 'party' hotels that allow multiple guests being the worst.

.....not suprised at that mate!....everythings going up,so airfares are no different....Phuket has always been more pricey that Pattaya, hotels the lot overall.....Pattayas still best value all round!

Baywalk Residence is fairly new, right across from Fraser's Resort. The rooms are big and nice, about $50USD a night for deluxe, room service was great, walking distance to WS. Stringfellows, Labamba right around the corner. You could hear music from 6P to 2AM but who cares, no noise from others. I plan to stay there again. Other mongers I spoke with there felt it was great place as well compared to other hotels. Worth checking out online at least. They didnt make me check IDs at reception so I'm not sure if thats a plus, I just dragged the girl straight by them and they gave me the key no problem. Other guys were checking their girls in though so maybe its up to you.

On the backside of Baywalk, if you were to walk directly to Frasers front door, there is a bar (I forget the name) directly between the two places. I spent many hours there. Great staff, only about 10 barstools and four tables without a roof, but great location and as I said, a fun staff. There is a GG that works there named Wee-wee. Great sense of humor and not bad on the eyes.

Just thought I'd throw that in there.

Ahh, the memories...

I know exactly where your talking about, wanted to stop there and have a drink but never did, I did often hit the cocktail car out front of Baywalk before heading out each night, excellent spot to have a drink and look out for FLs walking around.
