I walked past a hotel in soi buakhao about a year ago and the girl at the desk showed me the rooms and they were super nice, very clean and modern with free wi-fi for around 1000 baht, it was near a strip club called blue something with girls dancing on poles that you can see from the street through the windows, any ideas guys? I lost the name and contact info but would sure like to find it ahead of going there next month, needless to say I couldn't get a room there in January.

I believe the bar is called club blu http://www.pattaya-b...lu-pattaya.html
Don't know what place you refer to though, but maybe it's one of those at the list to the left here: http://www.lkmetropattaya.com/

Club Blu is a coyote venue on Soi Buakhao.

If you're standing on Buakhao facing Club Blu; to your right next door but one is Jasmine Mansion, but I suspect the place you're thinking of is the better appointed Liquid Lounge on the corner of LK Metro.

Thanks guys, Club Blu is the bar I was thinking of, they also have nice rooms but seems too close to the action, a friend was staying there and it was cool to go from his room to the pool tables without going thru the bar and they also had a private back door entrance.
BTW the hotel I am looking for had a very small lobby, just a big counter/desk by the stairs, if that helps!! it was not very far from Club Blu on a side street.

First you said it was on Soi Buakhao, but if it's not then it is possibly down on LK Metro, which has Club Blu on the corner. There are many small guest houses down there, but too many to recall.

You could try looking on the Pattaya Photo Guide, but unfortunately they haven't covered LK Metro.

Yes, 1000 baht is no bargain for Soi Buakhao or LK Metro either - there are loads of places with nice rooms from 400 - 700 baht - try Murphy's Law in LK Metro for example. 08 4100 9016 if you want to check for a room.

Liquid Lounge is directly across the street from Club Blu. I stayed at the Liquid Lounge in October for 5 nghts in a mid-priced room (B$650 per night). The room was clean, spacous and outfitted with a large refrigerator, microwave, safe, TV and DVD player. The room was a corner room, so there were three sliding glass doors leadng to two balconies, one facing Soi Buakhao, the other (smaller) facing Soi LK Metro and Club Blu. No problems with noise once the sliding doors are closed. No lift, but it does have a separate side door entance accessed with a card key for those that want to make a discrete entrance or exit. Just watch out for the damn dog. It sneaks in the back hall, sleeping at the foot of the stairs. Some mornings I had to wave a broom in front of me to get by it. The dog does not like falangs and snaps at you if you come close. Other than the dog, I would highly recommend the Liquid Lounge.

Thank you for the suggestion, I checked out their web site and with free wifi, it sounds like a good spot at a good price, I also like the discreet side door!

I remember staying there at Liquid Lounge before the downstairs turned into agogo bar, if it the same dog it's a right funny bugger, a big bastard as well, I remember it chasing a motorbike taxi down Soi Bukaew and failing to watch where it was going and ran head 1st into a mobile kebab cart, flaming thing was miserable for 3 days . Another time we thought it was dying it lay on the stairs with blood pissing out of its dick, it was really miserable then, poor sod.
