Rooms are currently priced at 800 THB per night if anyone is interested. I think that's a very good price.

I paid 950 baht for a standard room on the top floor. April Suites is excellent; sort of a European boutique style hotel with small but well-designede, new, modern rooms, very clean and functional. Hell, the shower has a strong pressure and the toilet flushes every time, which is usually NOT the case in Pattaya, even for places more expensive than this ;-) Only minuses: You have to sit and smoke on the balcony, in the baking midday sun or in the middle of a shower, and the wi-fi is very dodgy!

Yea - the WiFi is the biggest drawback. Half the time I end up using 3G and skip the WiFi.
The extra 100 Baht for a deluxe room is a good deal, its noticeably larger. The Suite is a ripoff.

I am staying here now, and I have paid 947 bht. pr. night for 10 days in a top floor standard room ;-) 1 month in low season = 28.000 baht. Very well located for both Soi 6 and soi 7/8 btw. :-p

I just went ahead and booked a Deluxe room there for Jan 26 - Feb 13. Looking forward to hearing more reviews from travelers - the more detailed the better!

I've booked a deluxe room for 17th nov. (11 nights) using Agoda for £425. A bit more than some of the prices quoted above, but then we are moving into high season. Got a discount from Agoda from last trip for £19, so we're talking about 2000 baht per night give or take.

Maybe a cheaper rate can be had by walking in on the chance of getting a lower price, but i like to have everything booked and payed for before i arrive.

Will let you know how i get on, but nearly all of the reports i have read on this place have been good.

Agoda has the cheapest rate, I confirmed this with the hotel last weekend.

I believe Snick is right about using Agoda, and the high season rate I got for a Deluxe room (a bit larger) is 1900 baht per night when the taxes are added in.

You guys that are quoting approx baht 1000 are in low season mode. Deepthroat and i are quoting high season, taxes included.

I usually stay at the Sunshine, soi 8 and their prices were only 100 baht or so cheaper than April's.

I said that i was £425 for 11 nights with £19 discount for nov. Works out much the same as 1900 baht.. 2000 was an estimate.

It's paid and that's it. Got a cheap flight so i'm more than happy.

Going to have words with the boss and extend my trip by a few more days. I know he'll be ok, but have any of you guys changed your flights with Etihad. The most i've paid was £75 with Emirates and least was with Gulf Air for £50, after 2 cancellations.

Correction, i once had to pay 35000 baht after missing a KLM flight, (fucking GG)

The cost and/or availability will depend on the fare class of your ticket and should have been shown at time of booking. Cheap fares are less flexible and some cannot be altered at all. If you bought through Etihad, then you should be able to access conditions on their website. Good luck !

I have just checked in. Prices went up higher but for the value they are in an ok range for me.
The standard room official price is 1800 (2012 january) wo breakfast but they did not have the deluxe now. I bargained for a discount but since they are fully overbooked it was even a wonder I have managed to get a few percent off (to be exact, I have got the breakfast included, which would cost 200).
Though the place looks REALLY promising, minimal design yes, but very clean, functional, service is excellent, everybody is polite AND speaks at least a fair amount of english. Not to mention the lady at the reception who speaks fluently (at least for a thai) and is very flexible and customer focused. As far the best customer service I have got in Thailand.

And since I'm the techie kind I feel the need to mention that each floor's ceiling hosts a WiFi router, there is no password for the net, it seems pretty fast and stable, my PS3 runs smoothly on PSN (to play network games) as well as my other mobile devices.
They also have a very nice small pool on the top of the roof (6 floor high).
The place is brand new, You can tell that by the Mitsubishi elevator running noiseless and the Bravia Sony LCD TVs (having 4 HDMI input channels) in each room.
The environment seems very quiet and secure but it is not far (5-15 minutes walk distance of the good places).

They are guest friendly but only one guest is allowed per room. There is a 1000 baht fee for any additional person joining in. It is really high so you should consider staying here if in mood for Xsome funs. And also you have to sign a paper that you would not go too noisy during the night... so I think I have to find another place for my all night whiping orgies... ;)

I am looking forward my stay and other important adventures here... :)
