Its my first visit to Pattaya, can anybody recommend a LB friendly hotel/ guesthouse, near the action, but not right in it. something mid range maybe, I have looked through some of the threads, but some of the recommendations look a little out of date, thanks in advance

i like new nikom court , soi Lengkee at around 750 b - they are a good crew there.
areca lodge at around 1250b also not bad and very handy indeed for soi diana
vm terrace on soi buakhao is good value and secure also 750b
soi 13 also has some options if you like to get close to the action but live in a quiet street

I cannot say enough good things about Fraser Resorts.
Although their website says they charge a joiner fee, it is in need of updating because they do not.
No joiner fee, LB friendly, free wi-fi, about 4 blocks from walking street.

I've been hearing you and quite a few other members of this board ranting about Fraser Resorts. I think I'm sold on that hotel.

What do you call mid range? Let people know your budget and you will get some good recommendations.

I can recommend some excellent guest houses for 500-600bht or some Hotels for 1500 bht or top range Hotels for 2500+ just let the good people here know your budget and length of stay.

Personally if i was staying for just 4 nights then i would go for a Hotel, at that price range i would go for August Suites which is just off 2nd rd at Pattaya Klang(just google August suites or look at the same named thread on the hotel section)

PS. My user name is JCS, unfortunately i am not a God!!! :D

Can anyone tell me if there are any cheaper hotels with a nice big bath/ spa in Pattaya (less than 1000 baht). I want to start a 'make my own soapies' exercise... ;)
