Flipper Lodge Vs Pattaya Bay Resort

Coming up to my 2nd trip to LOS and looking forward to it.
My first trip issued at pattaya bay resort. A lovely place. Everything was taken care off and was safe and secure. Only problem was the embarrassing receptionists giggling everytimr I brought a girl back in main foyer. This is not discreet St all sand God knows I would probably have to pay if I brought 2 girls back.
So I heard that Flipper Lodge is more discreet. Would u reccomrnd this to someone who quietly wants to bring 2 girls back no fuss? Is Flipper safe / secure? And how do the two compare cost-wise?
Any bad experiences of Flipper?
Thx in advance...

i will say that i have never brought a LB back though...all my LB activities have been in ST looms or at Secrets Hotel where there is NEVER any hassle as they have a couple LB on reception staff as I recall.
also, as i recall from my searches when i first joined the board, flipper is VERY old (though probably well kept) and i dont like OLD no matter what...always a musty smell or something that bothers me...or the bathroom isnt up to standard, or the bed is nasty or something...i remember my virgin trip i stayed at a place that was on soi13...and while OK, it was just tired...and i have not returned...unless it has been gutted to the concrete and rebuilt, old doesnt work for me.
i ALWAYS ask how old a hotel is and when/if refurbished (even when traveling in the USA).
I can tell ya, even though the PBR is about 5 years old, the owner keeps it as tidy/fresh as the day they opened the doors the first time!
Cheers, alex (part time tuktuk hustler for PBR)

Thanks for the information about Flipper, RolfGolf - very useful to know.
Tony2103 - the key in answering a good post that is informative, is understanding the askers' question in the first place - understanding the askers' needs and making that answer RELEVANT.
If you note, my post subject is: Flipper Lodge Vs PBR. It is a question comparing the TWO hotels - ONLY.
So how is it informative if someone suggests Chaba Hut in Pattaya? He may as well have suggested the Ritz in London, or the freakin' Doha Hotel in Qatar! How is this relevant? Also, Tony, how was Fie Dollah's question informative if it did not mention price, or hotel environment (old/new furnishings),Joiner Fee etc?
Does it not figure, Tony, that the very fact that I am NOT asking about Chaba Hut Vs PBR, may mean I am not interested in staying at the Chaba Hut? In what possible nuance on Heaven or Earth, was Fie Dollah's answer informative? Quote: "Chaba Hut my friend, everything you want and need in a hotel at a great price"
Well actually, Chaba Hut does NOT have internet in the room. SO it's a non-starter It does not fulfil my needs, HENCE i am NOT ASKING about the bloody Chaba Hut.
I know that Flipper and PBR DO have wi-fi in room ... HENCE ...(shock, horror) I am asking about PBR and how it compares to Flipper. These are the only 2 hotels i am interested in at the moment, and therefore my post was about people's experiences in these 2 hotels - not the bloody Chaba Hut.
So. No matter how much 'respect points' Fie Dollah has, it means absolutely Jack. His post was completely un-informative, and irrelevant - a major foible of Bulletin Boards.
My query, which people with less 'Reputation Points' such as RolfGolf and Alex successfully 'got' and eloquently answered with intelligence, was Flipper Vs PBR. RolfGolf answered my queries about Flipper, and Alex noted my need to know if PBR are happy with multiple company in my room, and answered the point. He did not waver off on the tangent recommending me some other hotel (just like a TukTUk driver would when you specifically ask him to take you one place but he recommends another).
Although Alex couldn't confirm what it is like in Flipper, Alex successfully answered my query - identifying PBR quite happy to let more than 2 people stay, therefore the question was answered.
Thanks RolfGolf and Alex
This is a lesson to learn from Fie Dollah, with all your 'Reputation Points'

Wow, such a hostile tone in your reply araine, especially for being a newbie on this board. I would tread a little bit more lightly if I were you. Reputation does indeed have some meaning here on this board as you will see if you are around for some time. However, if you start pissing people off let me be the first to let you know that you will be shown the door rather quickly. We are a tight knit community and part of the credo here is that " its is nice to be nice". So as a suggestion, tone down the response a little, settle in, and see how the other BMs interact with each other. In time you will see that we are all truly here to help each other out in any possible way that we can. I hope you enjoy your time here on the board and we welcome your future posts as well. -Swedeman

Actually Swedeman, i have been on this forum a LOT longer than you. But thanks for the 'vote of confidence'
A lot of people post hundreds of messages here - gets their hitcount up and advances them. But are all their posts actually of any value, merit or interest? Can you honestly say that Fie Dollahs 'answer' really add value to this Post?
I normally don't post so many messages, but i do read and digest a lot of information. And too often, Posts are overbloated because of people effectively flaming boards with pages and pages of irrelevant information and answers to questions which are way off subject.
So when i DO post, from someone who especially has a supposed high reputation, wouldn't it be reasonable to expect a considered reply?

Maybe have other alias and from another forum just here to stir!
If you had done your homework boy, you would have found the Chaba does have wifi and has a fairly new building and all up to date furnishings with DVD & hifi's in the rooms.
And at around 1000b a night suits anyones budget, but hey stick to what you know !!!
