Feckin tell me about it !! My last flight was with Singapore Airlines and cost me £325 !!!
Its seems the days of cracking deals are over for now.
Eva seems to be the consistently reasonable at around the £550 mark.

It obviously depends on the date you go as to the price! Its the bloody airport taxes going up and up and up! which makes it so expensive now! Try West East travel in London, I find they usually have the best deals?

You have probably already done this but if not try going up to 3 days either side of your prefered dates, sometimes it can make a big difference.

All flights have gone up and the standard of service has gone down.

Emirates used to give you a hot towel before the flight took off, now its a wet wipe, you always got a travel bag with a razor, toothbrush in etc, now you dont.

With the fuel prices and economy the way it is I would expect further rises over the next year :(

Cheers Solice......i suspect that the tourist trade is or will be directly suffering due to this....no wonder the Patts hotels are offering such good deals.....where will it all end?....i think i will eventually throw in the towel and live out there for extended "wintering"....makes the best sense!

What I definitely wouldn't do is go for an extremely cheap deal with an unreliable third-rate airline. I knew someone who got a ridiculously cheap deal to fly to Bangkok on Royal Jordanian Airlines, but because of delays and technical problems had to spend four days in the Jordanian capital, Amman, a sort of concrete hell-hole, waiting for the next flight to Bangkok.

I find that booking well in advance, insures getting a better deal. I am booked with china airlines for June and I booked it 3 months prior to my departure date. My flight cost £580 sterling from Dublin to Bangkok.

Try http://www.southalltravel.co.uk.
they had the best prices on Eva Air, my friend has been back to LOS 4 times in the last 6 months and they get him the best prices.
Ask them if they have some prebooked dates they can do a deal on.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Maybe you answered your own question, when i booked mine on expedia cheapest i found was just over 500 but i opted for 650 for better departure times, like on the way back i don't fly out till midnight, which means i can have a last late one the night before i fly !

That said the ticket was 350 the rest was made up of taxes and fee !

Etihad from Frankfurt / Munich 486 EURO (432 GBP) ~11.00am or ~22.00pm. About 1 hour stopover. Maybe someone find a cheap flight to Germany and can use this special.
