I've just been reading about August Suites on the PA site.

They look fabulous and only 2000 baht per night and even better if you are booking for the month. This price available till end of Feb 2009.

If anyone knows anything about the place, or sees it on their next trip, your thoughts would be appreciated.

Promo rates are great... i've stayed at some stunning hotels for a fraction of the price of what they should have been... get in there while you can!

Just to update you, I didnt get a reply back from my email, so I gave them a call. The guy there speaks great English.

The best I could get for March for 6 nights is 1800 baht per night.

If the BMs from Patt Addicts site review is even 70% accurate it looks like its worth it

So I suppose there are two things there. They are happy to extend the promotional price into March and also drop the promo daily price by a couple of hundred baht a night.

Of course, if anyone beats this price with them....let me know

I made the reservation with them. Im going with my mate for most of the holiday, so this is only 900 baht each. An absolute steal.

THe Scottish lad on the PA site said he went into the hotel and he said its top quality. Also confirmed that is was guest friendly with no joiner fee.

I know it might seem odd.

I have been going on lads holidays for years with them. We are still a group of four, but only one of us still married ! Anyhoo, whenever we still go on trips, we only get one or two room (depending on numbers).

We are not shy about getting persona with our guests of the evening. It also allows for little orgies to be 'unexpectedly' occurring .

One of my pals has pulled out, so there are just two of us for the first 10 days, then Im on my own for the rest of the trip. Again, my mate is open minded, and is happy to go drinking in an LB bar, chat away, enjoy the grope, but he wouldnt go further than that.

Once he is away, I will be catching up for lost time. Its a 29 day holiday, so lots of time. I suppose I can do the rounds with him, see who Im wanting to do and the anticipation will assist with all round horny experience when I eventually run down for Ezy Bars soft opening.

I have it in writing from the hotel that we can bring guests back with no fee.

I think if you asked them, the management will agree to anything to get the booking just now. They couldnt have been nicer and obliging.

Thanks for the recent update LULT. I too emailed them and my first one went unanswered for several days, so I tried again. I got a quick reply this time and they were apologetic to the delay. They had just got their computer systems up and running.... I was given the same info as yourself mucker.. 1800 baht with pool view or 1600 with city view. I assume this is for their superior rooms. I wonder what the exexutive price will be.

I am gonna email them again with a view to booking with them for my upcoming feb trip. It does look like a fab place. I particularly asked them about joiners fee and guest friendly, but have yet to get a reply, so your info is most welcome news.

Ok lads. I have finally got some confirmatory emails from august suites after some more gentle persuasion. I can get a superior double room for 1800 baht with american breakfast or 1600 baht city view with no breakfast. The executive suite is still 4000 baht per night. I got some pics from them too. I'm gonna book there tonight and see what its like. let u all know soon

They are just up from the main crossroads where you go from the Pattaya Second Road and merge into the two way towards the Soi 6 bars.

No probs for transport. Thats a busy junction where you can pick up a baht bus and be at Walking Street in about 5 mins.

Booking in today lads, so I will let you know what its like and some more pics when I arrive. I will have my camera to the ready. Cant remember off hand about the written confirmation on joiners fee, will need to check back on the emails I got from them.

By the way, was there or is there a prob with the website?? The reason I ask is all of yesterday I could not get on to it.. always said an error message..

News: There is NO joiner fee at the hotel. You are free to have 1 guest/joiner stay with you no charge, but if the sheets are soiled, then you have to pay for them. So I guess the dont want any shit on the bed.. or if your into period fucking your GG.. Any other guest that you want to stay costs 500 B, maximum of 4 in the room including you.

Also, the kitchen IS functunal for breakfasts and light food up to 6 pm. No room service yet though. All facilities are free for you but guest/joiner pays for use of pool, fitness room and sauna 200B

they are a bunch of chancers. I ask specifically, because I am getting a twin room with my mate if there will be a charge if we bring girls back.

Im not sure I agree with potentially charging 500 baht for a guest, then charging a further 200 baht to use the pool. Potentially that would cost me and my mate 1400 baht per night more over an above the 1800 baht we are paying.

I think some sneaky sneakness is needed when I get there, or some great negotiation based on what they already assured me

I take it you are quite happy with the room/hotel. Quite nice ?

I'm in the mindframe that cause they are a new enterprise, they may not have fully thought out the finer details of what they are offering. They've already back tracked on the literature in the room, so it's mabe up to customers to possibly point out a few gentle alternatives to them. They are very new and need all the positive feedback from the customers they have at the moment... word of mouth and all that..

As for guest friendly.. My first night I brought back a bar girl to test the waters.. went with no probs at all. Last night I brought back a lb from Sally's in Jomtien and again, there were no dramas, just a little cheeky smile from the female receptionist. The ususl reception team are on now , so I will find out any changes when I venture out for supplies..

I gotta resize the pics I took today, but once done, I'll post them up..
