....Im considering staying for some of my Pattaya vacation time at either the Sabai Lodge or Sabai Resort on my next trip,as ive heard the pools and whole ambiance of the places are refreshingly different....prices are very keen too...and...close to ALCAZAR and Tiffany Shows for some "after show activity".

Has anyone any comments concerning these two resorts?.....thanks in advance!

I used to stay there about 10 years ago but now stay in Central Pats. Sabai has 4 properties including the Sabai Inn, not in the above link. (sabaiinn.com no pool) Sabai Lodge seemed old when I stayed there maybe they've renovated it. Sabai Resort and Empress are newer properties. Nice pools, good location and English-speaking staff makes it an excellent choice. I don't stay there because I'm not much of a swimmer.

I stayed at Sabai Inn (if that is on the left going to BR). The rooms were huge & very quiet. The hotel is first class & breakfast can be had over the road at the other Sabai property. You can use that pool as well so no problems there. I would stay there in a heartbeat eventho it is away from WS etc. No real problems with the baht bus, even with a sweety in tow.
Cheers

Was at the Sabi Inn during May. I think it's a cracking hotel for the money. The staff are great and always had a great stay there. I've also stayed at the Lodge and Resort. As has been said major demolition work was going on during my stay in May at the Sabi Lodge. The demolition work never really bothered me noise wise. The demolition work was done over about 7 days then nothing else much happened. Lots of work going on now near Soi2 and 3. Building work across from Sabi Resort. As Sabi Resort is so far back from 2nd road it shouldn't be much of a problem. Of course the buildings between Soi2 and 3 have all gone including the U-too bar. Whenever they start buiding that new hotel in Soi3 opposite the bear bars half way down, that's going to be a major building project. Pics of the demolition at the Sabi Lodge.

ps

They've knocked down the two single storey buildings around the Ruen pool area for those of you who know the Sabi Lodge. I would assume they are going to build multi storey buildings in there place.
