I wondered why the 2 English blokes who wanted to wring my neck, thinking i set off some errant fireworks, had backed down when i had agreed to their threat of a donneybrook. After turning around and seeing the 6 or so LB's who were right behind me and had my back, i must admit it prob wasnt me they were scared of lol!

  I had a similar problem right there at the Aussie bar later when I left. Guy fell into the 2 LB's leaving with me and I said "don't push the ladies" ... he got all up in arms then said "what you going to let them fight your battles for you" ... I turned around and 1 LB had her shoe off with the heel pointed towards him and the other petite LB had a big piece of concrete in her hand.

  Never heard of donneybrook - looked it up. Denotes a noisy, disorderly, and often violent quarrel or fight, a bar-room brawl.
